Have had issues at the buffalo trail store. Think they have made management changes. Was in there earlier today and seen what look liked corp or vendors. Wasn't sure either way. Hope they makes changes in personal or attitudes at McDonald's and Food City in buffalo trail stores !

I don't shop there, but love the food city on andrew johnson, they have the best meat in town..now who does that sound like?
I prefer my steaks from food city over ALL the groceries in town.
I still have a problem with that little lady that won't/can't scan my beer, but other than that, I prefer food city.
I like Ingles for odd things I cannot find in food city, but don't/won't buy Ingles or food lion meat.

I would have to agree with you there. Have had some people state that Save A Lot meats were decent. All as i frowned at them. I do have standards when buying meat, pork, or chicken ! Used to shop at wally world for those items. But learned alot of of information from word of mouth and the internet. As well as t.v. i think as well.

Attitude of management and staff. Everyone is suffering. Even corps ! Imagine the employee's and other low to middle wage workers trying to buy food with 25-30 a week. Specially when they are used to spending $50 or more a week. The big thing i also like about food city is the fuel and milk coupons they issue. I know i have been meandering. Just how i am. I am not saying food city is not worthy of shopping at. But when money and attitudes are involved. I would prefer going to where you feel accepted. So in closing, I will say work on or suggest to K-VA-T that they keep the fuel bucks coming more often. And work on the milk coupons. Maybe expend it as a daily/weekly thing to other core items in the store.

Who wants to goto brices and buy meat in the 'hood" ? Wish he would either do a re-model or move to a new location. I like the fact he is an indep butcher. So he will cut just about anything. For me it's all location. And before someone cranks about the location issue. I gew up in that area. So i know some of the peeps that used to walk the roads in that area. Times change. People usually don't. Even if it is new people moving in.

Food City is my favorite grocery store and I shop at Buffalo Trail. I was there today as well and had no problems, they were very busy as was expected for the Saturday before a holiday. The gas bucks is a fantastic way to keep me coming back. I also look for the food club brands more often just to get them. I shopped today, then went straight to the gas station and filled up and used my gas bucks. The only negative I have about them is there does seem to be a rougher crowd at night so I will go to Ingles if I have to go after dark because they have a security guard. Food City might want to consider that.

I had a problem at the Buffalo Trail store, too. I won't even bother to elaborate, it would just make me mad all over again. Suffice to say, I won't be back to that particular store again.

Most of the time i manage to get to the buffalo trail store at night. So i mostly deal with night crew ? I like the mid morning to afternoon week day crew. Most of the are curtious and helpful. Some of them attitides however. But i can handle a healthy attitude everyone once in awhile. Just the night crew just gives ya one of those looks. And sometimes you have to wait so they can have a conversation about what this ir that person did. Or how their not happy about this or that. Half the time i manage to make it there with the nigth manager outside smoking in her car. Not sure if it's luck or not though? Cause i arrive at different times of the evening.

The S. Cumberland store is the worst store I've ever been to in my life. Very poorly managed. Numerous times I have been standing in the checkout line for 10-15 minutes and then they rudely close the line when I get to the front and tell me I'll have to go to another line that there are 5 or 6 people and anothet 10 minute wait.I've witnessed other people as well as myself walk out the door, but there is no apology.Thing are mispriced often also and they won't correct that, you either take it for what it rings up or forget it.It Sucks! The West end store is nice and well managed, never a problem at that store.

Food City is ok. I will agree that the Buffalo Trail store is pitiful. I live in the area and it is the closest store to me. Most of the time I can't find what I am looking for and that store has quit carring many of the Full Circle organic items I buy on a regular basis. I have to go to West A.J to make those purchases. For the most part, Ingles is getting more of my business lately. Because, their store brand is superior-better priced and better quality. Their milk and eggs are cheaper!! Since I have a 1 year old we eat alot of milk and eggs. I like being able to find what I am looking for and having better variety. It seems Food City is going toward a 'value' type store. Which is great for most people but not what I am shopping for. I do like the meat department at Food City, the Gerber chicken is wonderful. I only shop at Walmart for frozen meal items that I can only find there. Thumbs up for the gas n go at the BT store! I like the idea of having fuel bucks more often and on more items.

I shop at the Buffalo Trail location because the one on S Cumberland is nasty and I don't go to the west end unless I have too. I bought the cheese danish they have at the checkouts for 2 for $1.00 all the time and I went in last week to stock back up and they were gone and no one could tell me what happened to them. The manager ignored my question ,she was to busy doing something else. I would just like to know why they are gone?

Buffalo Trail and S. Cumberland stores are terrible. I work in Morristown and go to the east end Ingles if I have to get something through the week on the way home. However, the new Food City in Rogersville is awesome. If you live on the far east end of Hamblen County, it's worth the few extra minutes it takes to get there.

I don't shop at Food City. I have been to a couple and just didn't like them. The people always seem so hateful and don't care about you. I go to Ingles on the East End. The store is always clean and the people are friendly. Example I went to Food City and asked an employee where something was and they said "I think it may be on aisle 6 if not then I don't have a clue" and at Ingles when I asked where something was they didn't tell where to go they took me to the product.

I generally dislike shopping anywhere that an ID card or membership is required to get an advertised special or price. I am by no means a conspiracy theorist, but I do like to stay "off the grid" whenever possible and these shopping/discount card programs seem to be a step in the wrong direction, wether their intent is malicious or not.

As for the stores themselves, I have never been all that fond of Food City. I'd prefer Ingles to be honest, although there are some items they don't seem to carry in relation to Walmart or others. I hate going to walmart on principle, but we wind up doing most of our shopping there out of necessity.
