Very good staff. We have been very pleased with my father's care there. I do not know the administrator, but have been impressed with the changes since he has been there.

My mother was in Heritage and recieved excellent care on unit 2 however, that was a few years ago. I am told by my friend who has her mother there now that there is never enough help, patients don't get a bath and the nurses are too overwelmed to care.

no there is a man there now and he has run most of the good staff off, we couldn't keep help and this is sad because it is the residents who suffer. I don't know what is going on now because I left and so did my friend

the staff are friendly, professional, caring and compassionate. the staff are like family to the residents. most of the residents are happy with their homes. occasionally someone (resident or family member)is dissatisfied with something and the nursing supervisors work hard to make things better for them. anyone with any problems with any department needs to let the supervisors know what the problem is and how it can be corrected, and it will be.

In asking around in my quest to find the best care possible for my family member people were telling me that the nursing staff WAS.. great....or would be if they were not so overworked..and that worried me because overworked = lack of quality care in my book.....I was also told the the new administrator was the downfall of the place....while the appearance improved care suffered.....I even heard he limited bedtime snacks to the "alert and oriented" crowd...how sad.

Thanks for the response.I also heard he spent all the money for the place to look good and none for the workers or residents whom are all so important. I heard he is making a big name for himself with the big office in Cleveland, Tn. The workers are all upsett and alot of them have left from what I hear. I hear he is trying to move up the ladder no matter who gets hurt.

I worked there a few years back, but won't say in what capacity. At that time, there was a female adiminstrator, I think her name was Glenda. Thought she would be there forever. What happened to her?

The new administrator is a class A Jerk....and the once proud employees are humiliated to say where they work at. His repuation as an adulterer overshadows his religious facade. If he actually "cared" about anything other than moving on up the ladder so to speak he would be more involved with staff and residents. Alot of employees want to leave but the economy is keeping them there.

No, glenda was one of our supervisors. we think now a very good one but at the time we thought she was to hard. she quit and now has two grandbabies. The supervisors we have now don't listen and don't seem to care. the woman administrator you are talking about is billie

I have family there & what I don't understand & want to know is why you people dont put a stop to his non-sense. The residents ase the most important thing there & having plenty of staff to take care of them.

This is a shame, because Heritage Ctr used to have the reputation of being one of the best long-term facilities around. I took CNA classes last Summer at vo-tec and did my clinicals there. I was so disappointed in some of the CNAs for the way they treated the residents. I know that it is a hard job with time restrictions, but i saw CNAs cramming food in little ladies mouths then fussing at them for not being able to swallow fast enough. Also, saw CNA who THREW a patient back into bed following her bath. I was in disbelief and told my instructor. Whoever this new administrator is, I hope he is chucking out the cull CNAs. Residents need and deserve proper care and attention.

Mr.Breeden has shown to be an asset to our facility. Yes, he has made changes to the facility grounds but patient care has not declined. FYI: Snacks are provided for all residents on a daily basis however a resident has the right to refuse the snack but it's offered. If you are honestly looking for a home with caring environment for your loved one, Heritage Center is truly the place.

My mother has been at both Heritage and Life Care. Heritage made the best first impression so that's where we started. But they turned out to be a big disappointment. Life Care made a terrible first impression but we went there and we ended up very pleasantly surprised. I don't think you can truly know if it will suit your loved ones needs until you are actually there.

My mother has been there for several years. She receives excellent care at Heritage. The nursing staff and CNAs are wonderful to her. I'm sure they are overworked like most folks in the medical profession, but it has not impacted my mother's care. As for the new administrator, I've only seen him once in the halls. I've noticed improvements since he's been there, but know nothing about him otherwise. I can only tell you that we are very happy with the staff and how they care for my mother.

Money!Money!Money! If you or your family have a name in this town or if you are private pay Heritage is the place to be. The poor people and Tn Care residents get very little attention. They say no one knows the payer source but it gets around. We always know we have a special one when the supervisors, charge nurses and the DON keep telling you to check on them, answer their call lights quicker, stay over and give this one a bath today. Its like I said we always know the ones to give special time or attention even if it takes away from the others. It starts at the top and rolls down. I know it isn't right but if you want to keep your job you'll do what you're told. It does no good to report and there are lots of little old people there who have no one, no family to watch over them or to report such treatment or lack of.

Are you sure you know because whether or not they are private pay or not they do not get treated any different. I work there and the Unit I'm on is not that way!!! The supervisors makes sure everyone is taken care of regardless of how they pay!!!
