A Morristown teenager was killed and three others were injured in a one-car crash early Saturday morning.

Police say it happened around 1:30 a.m. on Joe Hall Road at Debi Circle.

According to a police release, 19-year-old Courtney Kinsler was headed westbound on Joe Hill Road and went off the right side of the road, striking a utility pole with the passenger side of the car. The vehicle continued traveling west and slammed into another utility pole on the driver's side, breaking the pole.

Kinsler died at the scene, and the three other teen passengers -- ages 17, 16 and 14 -- were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say Kinsler was not wearing a seat belt but are not sure that would have changed the outcome of the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.

There were 3 other people in the car with her. I would imagine that their names are not being released because all of them are minors. I'm not trying to be rude here...but unless you are a family member you have no business knowing more of what happened. This is a tragedy . Courtney left behind a very beautiful baby boy. Instead of wondering if they can tell us more of what happened...how about praying for this family. Lets leave the other 3 girls alone and pray for them also while they mourn the life of a dear friend!

You apparently were never a teenager...everyone makes mistakes and sometimes the mistakes have traffic outcomes. I will be praying for this family.I can not imagine how devastating it is to lose a loved one so suddenly. My thoughts and prayers go out to all that were affected by this event.

what facts do you have that the car was going 70 in a 35. I would be willing to bet that info is hear say and no proof has been given! I don't know if she was speeding or not. My guess would be she probably was. Thats what most teenagers do. As a matter of fact that is what most people driving that road do. It isn't right, but it doesn't change the fact that this is a tragedy and their are alot of people hurt by it. She was someone's daughter, grand daughter, friend, and most of all a precious baby's mother...that doesn't change even if she was speeding.

I don't think it's rude toask who else was with her. While I agree that this is very tragic, my children very well may know some of the others. When they heard about it they immediately started worrying about their friendS. These other minors do not need to be left alone. They need support. I do agree that the gossip and rumors should not be exagerated but for the comfort of caring hearts I don't think it's wrong.

you are very right. It is not rude to ask who the others were. It is rude to say "maybe they can tell us more about what happened". That is what I was commenting on.

Whether she was speeding or not, or even drinking, it's sad that this 19 year old girl died. I'm so sorry this happened to her and her baby!

I think people need to stop making assumptions about someone they don't know or the actual situation. I'm sure that if it was your family member or friend you wouldn't want to see something like this. Please let's keep her family in our thoughts and prayers. They truely need them now... especially her little boy. R. I. P. Courtney.

A family member of mine lives there on Debi Circle, and found this poor girl when the wreck happened, n what she saw, will forever be singed in her mind....I feel so bad for this poor girl, her child and family and friends...God needed another Angel, I guess....but it's just such a tragedy for someone so young, that had so much more life in her, to lose it way before her time. Please pray for her family! RIP

Yea, I was the hit and run, she caved in the rear end of my truck, just shortly before she took out two phone polls, she also clipped an elderly old man from N. Carolina who was at wal-mart with his wife and damaged his truck as well. Let's not forget there is a very little baby that will grow up without ever knowing its mother, and many other people whose live were shattered by her selfesh wrecklessness....
