Oh so move all the equipment all the machines , Build a new facility get all the permits pay all the contractors and labor, go through the slow process of interviews and hiring yeah and then train a whole bunch of new people to run that type of sophisticated robots and you call me narrow minded! Man what are you smoking ?

I spent a few years in the foundry, my last year was with Jim Sexton running the show. I'm not one to talk a bunch of anonymous shit about someone, but he is a dick to work for. Zero concern for the employees, just the bottom line. And production in the foundry actually dropped after he took over. He put in his 40-50 and split for the week. Personally, I didn't have much use for the man.

The initial investment of the move to another state would be worth the investment. It may cost them in the beginning but not near as much as a union would in the long run. You think this is their 1st rodeo?? They are successful because they know what they are doing. Look around NORMA RAE unions are quickly becoming a thing of the past. You my dear, better suck it up and go with it or you will be on the news like the Wisconsin and Tn teachers. BTW how did that work out for the Teachers unions??

Why are you against a union ? do you not realize that the Unions are the very reason any factory pays a decent wage. Know this If a company could make you work for 10 cents an hour they would ! A union is the only reason they dont. I agree the unions up north are perverted ! A person should put in an honest days work for an honest days pay. To have an organization to protect the working man is a good thing, how could you be against that ? Do you really think that large companies actually care for their employees? they want you to make them money period ! and that is fine. But it should be done humanely ! Chris rock said it best Minimum wage is a way of saying I would pay you less but the Union wouldnt let that happen

So you saying Mahle doesn't pay decent?? That is retarded. They used to do good now they just keep pushing til they ruin it all. some deadbeat gets fired they scream union to get their job back. Then go back to being a deadbeat. So keep it up, Berkline is gone and you won't be happy til Mahle is gone.

Read again I never said Mahle did not pay good. I said the Unions are the only reason that any one receives a good wage it is apparent you know nothing of history. before unions people worked for hardly anything and the fat cats got richer and the workers worked themselves to death with nothing to show for it. Now if that is something you agree with then you have no regard for human life.

Another holiday is here at Mahle. Those that are lucky to have vacation time that was approved will be enjoy it. Those of us that don't have vacation or are low on the list, Holidays mean another 12 hour shift, no time once again with family, and who gives a care!!

All you people that dont work at Mahle dont have a clue.Yes we do make good money and the biggest part of us work hard for our money and yes we have some dead beats but no more than anywhere else.The problem is most everybody there works 7 days aweek and we have a manager telling us the gates are to keep people out and we can leave anytime we want which is true.But there are not people standing in line for our jobs.The truth is out of 50 people interviewed last month over half couldnt pass the drug test and all but 6 couldnt pass the other test so they hired 6.Funny thing though 12 people walked out last week.So Im hopeing some of these educated wonders that run the show will come to realize that the older empoyees are more valueable than some of these younger people that dont have the drive to put in the hours to run a company like Mahle

maybe if these younger people could have some vacation time and be put on the same pay scale as the older employees it would be a good reason to stay.

i would love a day off, 1yr as a temp 12hr days a week, only had 4 days off for the whole time, hired in since the first of the year and wont have vac till jan 2013. doesn't look like i will get a day off this year either.

there is a temp on the automotive side with a broken foot and his toes are turning green and he has to come in everday because he can not afford ins and i know they wont give him the tim to heal up.

don't work here at mahle if you want to have a life.
