<quoted text>Romney wasn't to young ....he just avoided the draft. Most people didn't enlist unless they were trying to avoid jail time in those days. He does not think his sons "need to enlist" either since they serve their country by "helping him get elected". What a crock.
Might cost him the election too.None have a record of military. He has been protected. No salary?? He had to live on something. He did not raise five boys on "NO SALARY". It had to come from somewhere. It is truth telling time.I have not decided on him.Nor Obama.I want him to get down to earth and tell it like it really is,leave out ironing boards and workhorse stories.Let's hear his way of paying his bills and income taxes. Not how they ate meals.
She has told her story, opened for him.Now it is his turn to pony up.Step up to the bat and tell it like it is.He was living some way.Called records ,records, records, like birth certificates.Time to quit lying.
Clinton has opened for Obama, now tell the truth.

I understand your frustration. He didn't avoid the drat per say. He registered.
Obama avoided the military in an all volunteer service.
So what?
It is up to the individual to decide if they have what it takes to serve.
If Obama and Romney's kids, decided not to take that honor. Then it is their decision.
Will Obama encourage his daughters to serve?
His kids kept him out.

As far as raising them on something. Most parents work hard. They provide for their children. As best they can.
I suspect The Romney's did too, just like you and me and the Obama's. We all do what we have to do as parents.

It is predicted that Romney will likely win.

It might be GOD help us all if either win.
Both are doozy's as Hazel used to say.
I was at Horton Park once when Blanton visitd. He never spoke to one employee even though they helped vote him in.
Worked for House Speaker candidate, big disappointment to see him lose to McKinney.
Worked for Robin Beard.Quiet man.Worked for Governor 's race.State REP, Congressman Bart Gordon,All around Dunn.Gov Dunn was a nice man.
Been around Bredesen,he is very nice.Good men.Alexander's wife,Berry Dunn all wives very nice ladies.Quiet.Betty Blanton was nice. One senatoral candidate.

I believe Hillary is a good dedicated, devoted woman.I believe Clinton is a popular player.
I believe John McCain is dead serious on military interest..
I believe Obama has been spoon fed.I believe Romney has been spoon fed.
His wife is living with MS.Also had breast cancer ,yet they trudge on.He didn't raise 5 boys on no salary.
We've all ate macaroni and cheese.Never ate Ramen Noodles but only because I did not like them.Cornbread and water is better than noodles to me.Had our share of scrimping to raise children..Romney and Obama both need to come clean.
Maybe John Huntsman and Mc Cain would have been the smartest for the job all said and done .I look for honesty. We need good men to do this job,not boys..

I do not care what gender others are on here.
I am intereted in good people to run this country.
How much more can AMERICA stand?
We have to get our country back in the standing we had.America is known as the land of oppotunity.
We are in the responsible position of putting it back up there on that pedestal..
All the negative needs to be replaced with the positive no matter who has to go.This country needs to do a big U-TURN and be CLEANED UP..

Romney. If you had a baby on the way others were chosen over you.

My brother in law was jerked up,sent to NAM ,Marines, because they needed 50 marines the day he went to Nashville for Selective Service Board. and they said we'll take you and you and you.
Sent him to California immediately. No children.
My husband was in National Guard and was due to go to Cuba,Bay of PIGS under Kennedy..Baby on the way so he ws placed in reserves 8 years. Hope I am right.

<quoted text>well if you look at the bottom of the copy and paste it says"friendly fire happens. we are guilty of shooting down planes and oter military craft all the time. does that make us non allies with britian or any other country? no, it was an accident they said. firendly fire happens alot in war and altho israel wasnt in a war at the time,i think they saw what they thought was an egyptian ship.
That ship that you speak of was a coastal freighter, used to transport livestock, she was half the size of the U.S.S. Liberty, her superstructure was aft, while the superstructure on the U.S.S. was amidship. The markings on the bow of the U.S.S. Liberty was clearly AGTR-5. A brand new American Flag(that was soon to be vaporized by napalm). The U.S.S. Liberty had many antenna's, there was no doubt she was a spy ship. The ship you speak of was O.O.C. at the time.
If you have other excuses, I'll debate those also.

You are correct. They avoided sending "family men" into combat as long as they could. Then they had no choice but to take all they could get.
Unfortunately, now they are not so discriminatory. Mothers have to leave their children behind for combat positions.

Absolutely.CUTE,:)
It is up to them to do what they must do.I just want the best man to run this country and have a good name.
I worked in John Kennedy's election and I lived in Illinois.Half way between Chicago and Milwaukee in WAUKEGAN at Great Lakes Naval Base.
EVERYBODY had a sign on top of their vehicle saying Kennedy.Never forget Skokie Hwy with signs all up and down it on vehicles, honking at each other..

My daddy was a career navy man,2 wars,9 uncles in wars..Can't remember ever hearing my grandaddy talk of anything but the depression when people almost starved to death.Unless you were lucky enough to live on the farm. Some hardly knew it was going on for they had plenty to eat they raised.

I thank you all for talking to me and I wish you all a good night and a happy tomorrow.Peace.
