I witnessed a child get injured in a tumbling while Tammy was on very lengthy cell phone call during a class, and what Katz said is public record and true.

It would seem Manicotti's comments have some merit.

there are different fees for the amount of days per week you want to participate...you can attend once a week to unlimited and there is even private classes if he has an opening...i am uncertain of the amounts per week now...the monthly fee for the cheer squad is $100.00...which includes: all practices for squads, coaches fees, and unlimited tumbling classes...basically boils down for us to about $6.00 per class...even cheaper for the months that have 5 weeks...woo/hoo...i know that the regular class fees are pretty reasonable and the classes are easy to work around personal schedules - for there are lots of options...we love it at powerhouse!
One hour class a week is $50 a month.

i have been to both, and love them both.
jana does help you A LOT and its where i am currently taking, she does tell you what you do wrong, when Tony just spots you. Jana encourages you to do it yourself when she knows you can.

Tony doesn't just "spot" you. He is more technical than Jana. He tells you exactly what you need to do to get the pass correct - not just landed, BUT CORRECTLY done. They are both great. They are both positive. I have seen them both teach for years.......

My daughter had been taking gymnastics for years and could not do a single skill without being spotted, we had tried 3 other places, and within months at Powerhouse she can do a standing backhandspring, and a roundoff backhandspring series, the difference is - he teaches correct technique, the "others" spot while the girls basically self teach until they acquire a skill that is incorrectly performed, ugly, and unsafe. Powerhouse is the only choice.$50 a month is a good price for the area, another plus is that you have multiple class times to chose during the week, most other places give you one day and time per week for class. We are busy and sometimes we need to switch up days. He is the only choice for tumbling, his all-star cheer team is another matter, one would be better served to choose another all-star team in the area.

Tony is also a Christian man if that matters. I know nothing about his gymnastics and cheer but I do know him personally.

POWERHOUSE!power house is the best place to go and that is my opinion.I have only been there for two days so far because i just started but i have learned everything in 1 day with tony than i did in 1 year at janas. This is coming from a twelve year old(a kids opinion) and you should listen.I have also went to jana and didnt learn a thing and i have had more injurys in her tumbling class than anything else so go to powerhouse and learn from Tony!NOW!

my daughter is on the powerhouse cheer squad, I am curious why you would recommend to someone to choose another all star cheer squad in the area. This is only Tony's second year doing the all star cheer team. He is still learning. I think Tony is doing good to be doing this on his own. My daughter loves to cheer with the all star team. She loves the competitions and has fun.

As far as going to Jana's or Powerhouse, I definitely would choose Powerhouse over Jana's any day. Tony is great and is wonderful with the kids. He will tell them if they are doing it wrong and how to correct it. When we went to Jana's, it was never Jana who would be teaching the class. All Jana's classes were early before 5pm and she was leaving. It was some high school girls teaching the class. They would focus more on the girls who knew how to do the backhandsprings and advanced skills more than the little ones. That was my experience. I think Tony's is the best.

POWERHOUSE!Power house is the best place to go because he acutally teaches you how to do than having someone tell you that you can do it when you cant and then have an injury.I am only twelve years and i have went to both.i learned everthing from janas at powerhouse in one day then in one year at janas.tony has you when jana on watches.and guess what i have only been to power hosue for two days and have more improvements than about three years.i have nothing against her but tony is the best and he is frekin awesome.

my daughter has been to both places as well. jana is a wonderful person and coach but the con's for me is the extremely small area to tumble. i am afraid of a crash through the front window especially if you have a power tumbler like my daughter, the parking is beyond horrible and the place smells musty. if she moved locations she would be making a huge improvement!
as for powerhouse, excellent and modern location with safe equipment, clean atmosphere and a great coach. some girls might not like taking from a male coach but he taught my daughter how to do a level 5 tumbling pass in about 3 months. granted it takes ablility but he teaches correct technique instead of just being 'able to throw it'. you start off right you will need not have to make corrections later. at jana's sometimes i felt like it was the other way around 'able to it it and fix the technique later' style. alomst an injury waiting to happen
no slam on jana at all. i have known her for years and like her very much just looking out for the safety of my daughter.
i would definately not take anyone to the 'cheernastics' location in alpha. their new 'floor' is only high density foam like they use at a boat dock. can anyone say injury? not a safe place
my children are power tumblers also and she took extra steps to protect my kids.she is great and wouldnt have it any other way but for her to coach my kids..she rocks. and because of her UT is lookin at my child.
