A friend of mine posted something on Facebook today about something, someone said to her about another person and his tattoos. She basically called him "white trash". Why do people Judge people with tattoos? Because they are a sin? Isn't judging?
If you saw me out in public, with pants & long sleeves on I assure you, you would not view me as "white trash" as I carry myself well & do not meet the stereotype people refer to as "white trash" but if I took my clothes off, you'd be shocked. I have full sleeves on both arms. My back is 75% complete. I also have them on my stomach, ankles and feet. I get up everyday, go to work & pull my 8 hours just like other people do. I pay my bills on time, I do not do drugs or drink and I even attend church on Sundays! I also have 2 children who attend and very expensive private school in town. I am far from "white trash"
Let me tell you narrow minded, judge mental, hypocritical people something.....when you answer for my sins, pay my bills, support my kids, and keep my ass up then you can judge me but please know I will save you a seat in hell as you will be in the pits of it with me. If I want to tattoo my whole body, it's mine & I will but when you need help, don't call me because I'd hate for my "white trash lifestyle" to rub off on you and you never know when my help may be needed ;)

Sorry you made a mistake by marking your body that God tells us not to do. You can be forgiven from God for getting marks on your body of you get saved and ask God to forgive you for doing this. Tats are something we all see and judge it being wrong based on God's word. We can't see sin in a person's heart which could be worse than tats. I would keep them covered or save the money and have them removed if they embarrass you.

I don't have problems with tattoos myself, but are you implying that all this comes as a surprise to you? That when you decided to get your first visible tattoo, you had no idea that some people would react negatively to your public display of that art? If so, I don't believe you. In fact, that's the underlying reason many get tattoos in the first place, as well as the whole piercing/body modification thing. To make an antisocial statement to some degree. They want to project a certain image to the unhip and uncool boring white bread public out there. Well, message received! How can you blame them for simply pickin' up what you're layin' down?

Life is full of choices.(ain't America great?) But choices are not without consequences. At least it sounds like you've retained the ability to be discreet when you want to be. No neck tattoos? Good choice!

I made no mistakes. I have been saved, many years ago. So it's ok that I tell you that your going to go to hell with me because you judge people? You can't pick and choose what parts of the Bible you want to believe in. If you believe His word and you believe in the Bible, you're just as guilty of sinning as I am. I do cover them in the winter time. You know when it's cold out but I don't cover them in the summer. Why would I remove them? I'm far from embarrassed of them.

I am not at all surprised by people's reactions to them. People have and always will be narrow minded. I knew this before I ever got my first one. It just amazes me that so many people are that "simple". My first tattoo was a tattoo of my babies foot prints who passed away 4 days after her birth. My second one is a picture of my Dad who passed away when I was just a little girl and the third one I got was a picture of my sister who also passed away. People deal with loss and grief differently and I dealt with some of it by displaying them on my body. I have zero regrets. I do not have any neck tattoos as of now but have considered it.

The King James bible tells us many times that we must judge right from wrong based on what God says is right or wrong and not what we want to think that is right or wrong. "But he that that is spiritual judgeth ALL things, yet he himself is judged by no man." (1 Corinthians 2:15) How would we know mudering a human is wrong if we did not have the written word of God to tell us it is wrong? How about stealing, adultery, men having sex with men, women having sex with women, divorce, lying, ectů We judge good from evil based on the word of God and not our opinions. When I see someone steal something I know it is wrong. I am judging what I see with my own eyes as wrong based on what God says. I am not the judge of the thief, God is. When I see tattoos on someone I know what they have done is wrong based on what God says on the matter in Leviticus 19:28 in the KJB when God plainly tells us not to print any marks on us. Get angry with God and not me because he made all the rules for us to live by, not me. I just can't see why a saved person from hell would continue to print marks on their bodies when God tells us not to. It's hard to remove tattoos and very expensive so those marks printed before we are saved from hell are sometimes hard to do anything about. Some can't do anything about those but they don't have to continue printing marks on their bodies which only convicts use to do. Today preachers don't have the guts to preach the truth about tattoos because there are so many so called Christians in their congregations getting tattoos everyday. They might make people mad and loose their big fat paychecks, retirement plans, and Obama care if they preached the truth about all things from the word of God. how many preachers would touch scriptures about not printing marks on your body today? The truth found in the word of God hurts us all when all of it is preached because none of us can live up to all of it. Me included as I am just a dirty rotten sinner saved by grace. According to smiling Joel the false prophet from hell we are all good, don't worry about hell, there is no sin, everyday is Friday for him and everything is just fine. Truth is there is not one righteous, hell is real hot eternal, we must judge right from wrong, things go wrong for him too, we can't all be rich, all healthy, and we all sin everyday.

I come from a time when the only people who had tattoos were military or criminals. Most military tattoos I saw were 1 on the arm as opposed to criminals who had quite a few. Maybe this is where the white trash thing comes in.
I have no tattoos because I was brought up in that time and I don't want one but to each his or her own.
To Truth, you need to stop judging people. Last time I checked God is still on the throne and He does not ask for or require any assistance. You can quote The Bible til the cows come home but so can satan.
We are responsible for ourselves and for helping people find Jesus. Don't run people off. That will come back to bite you.

Not judging people just sin. Tattoos are forbidden by God not me. God gave a rule book to go by. Jesus finds lost sinners and convicts their hearts to show them they are lost and headed for hell. All we can do is show them the word of God that gives people the faith to believe on Jesus Christ. By the way Jesus isn't lost so how can we show people how to find him?

Blah blah blah with all your Bible thumping. Ever wonder why so many people stray from church. People like you.

Here's the why- I get what you're saying. I do. But I am just amazed at how judgmental people can be. I know this is a different time than 40-50 years ago but to label someone white trash simply because they have works of art on their bodies is just a bit absurd in my book. What I have on my skin isn't who I am on the inside. I am a Mom, a daughter, a sister, a wife, an Aunt, a human being, a hard worker, a caring person who puts everything and everyone before myself. I am proud of my memorial tattoos because the people who don't judge me ask me about them and it gives me an oppurtunity to talk about the loved ones I have lost and without them, people wouldn't know and therefore wouldn't ask.

We live in a judgemental world. It's sad to say. Truth is correct in his Bible teaching but the Bible also says not to use the Lord's name in vain, not to covet, don't lie, and the list goes on. God's mercy is new every day. Man's is not because man is a mere mortal.
My best advice is to get a right heart with God for yourself if you haven't done that already and pray for truth and all us Christians that we personify Jesus the way He wants us to so we can lead people to Him by our words and actions.
In the big scheme of things your relationship with Jesus is what matters-not the things of this world.

I just had a physical and one thing I was asked if if I had tattoos. The reason they asked was because many times dirty needles are used that spread diseases such as aids. God knew when he told us not to print marks on our bodies what the dangers were as blood letting He also warns us not to is involved in tattooing. Every time the tattoo needle enters the skin with ink it lets blood out as the needle exits. That's why they are constantly wiping the area of the body that is being inked because it is bleeding. Blood spreads diseases. The ink used is toxic and can cause skin cancers and in some cases the ink has been known to alter test results in a MRI.

Thank You for your lesson but I am a nurse and I am fully aware of the risk and because I am a nurse I am also tested MONTHLY for any diseases. The same person does all my tattoos. That person is my husband. So I am also fully aware that his work station, needles, etc. are clean, not re-used and honestly, if you know so much about tattoos you would know that tattoo shops are inspected monthly.
