Are they any good at helping regain what was taken away from the employees? What is their plan?

It f--ing awsome here now. They have doubled our pay. We all have company cars and they serve us steak, lobster and wine at lunch time.

Union workers hold guards hostage

LONGVIEW, Wash.(AP) Hundreds of Longshoremen stormed the Port of Longview early Thursday, overpowered and held security guards, damaged railroad cars, and dumped grain that is the center of a labor dispute, said Longview Police Chief Jim Duscha.

Six guards were held hostage for a couple of hours after 500 or more Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack, he said.

no, the union at lear is not worth the 2 hrs a month pay. they are pretty crappy. bledsoe has no backbone and the weak minded keep electing him. in fact the union is so good that the starting pay went from $17.00 to $10.00 with a topout of around $12.50.

Just wondering because I have a friend that started working @ Lear about 2 weeks ago and she does not know if she should join the union, when she gets her time in. She said people there are telling her different things about the union. Some are telling her that the only thing the union is good for is keeping her job?...That does not sound like a good union to me. Just saying.

i once lost my job because of a lie that clara told.....after i talked to bledsoe and he came to lear it went from "you're fired" to "maybe we had a miscommunication" within 5 minutes....say what you want but the truth is if not for the union, lear would have a bunch of mexican temps doing our jobs for 8 bucks an hour because they don't give a fuck if any of our families starve as long as they're makin millions

you must be one of the junkies the union keeps in a job, todd parker ring a bell? when people get tired of being laid off and called back, mexicans will be doing the job anyway, where do you think the jobs go when they leave there?

As long as she performs her job, being running near or above production and producing quality parts, she has nothing to fear. Don't join the union as this is a right to work state, and she enjoys the same benefits as union members. She still enjoys the protection of employment and discrimination laws, so why give the union your hard earned money so that the union president can sit in an office away from the plant.
