I love home remedies, so I wanted to pot a couple of mine and hopefully get to read some of yours. I have one that prevents wrinkles. I'm not sure if I'm old enough to even get wrinkles, but I do it to hopefully prevent them...lol.

I take a half of a banana, mash it up then add 1 TBSP of milk and mix together. I put it all over my face and leave it on for about 15 mins. It not only prevents wrinkles, but it also makes my face smell good and leaves it so soft!

Another one I use especially for my 2 little ones is a home remedy for mosquitos. I get a small spray bottle and vanilla extract. Put 2-3 TBSP of the vanilla in the spray bottle then fill the bottle up with water and shake. Everytime we all go outside I spray it on us and it works!!

Please share home remedies!! I love to use them!

Want to bathe your cat ? Try putting an old window screen in the bottom of the bathtub or kitchen sink. The cat will sink it's claws into the screen and hang on the entire time you're bathing you're it

This was told to me by my cousin and I didnt think it would work but I tried it & did work for me

To help an ear-ache get 7 peach pits (dont know the reason for just 7) wrap them in a hankerchief run warm water on them then squeeze what water you can in a tsp then pour in the affected ear leave in for a few mins.

Like I said it works I have never had a ear ache again its worth ppl trying

My granny used to put a little vinagar in a dish and set it out on the counter to get rid of gnats. And seeing how they are everywhere this year, I think I'll be setting some out myself!

Sorry about the 2 thank you post. I got up from the computer and my silly nephew posted. Anyway, another great beauty remedy is a homemade face scrub. Mix a TBSP of salt and a few drops of olive oil. Works great! Olive oil is also good for your hair. Rub some on your scalp and at the ends of your hair and leave on for a couple of hours then wash as you normally would. It will make your hair shiny and more full. I do that about once a month.

Sprinkle Powdered Cinnamon on any food you choose to eat it on.I know Diabetics who do this to lower their blood/sugar levels.

after my first child was born I tried to breast feed but then quit. My grandmother told me to put raw cabbage leaves in my bra at night to draw out the soreness and cure red, irritated, and/or cracked nipples. I tried it the first night and my breasts were back to normal in 24 hrs. It even seemed to dry up the unwanted milk. Great remedy!

Bananas are also good for teeth whitening.Just take the peel of it and rub it all over your teeth or scrape it on your toothbrush (what I do) and leave on a few minutes/ rinse. You'll start to see the difference...and it's pretty cheap (:

Homemade febreeze/air fresheners. Spray bottle, 3 tbs baking soda, and about a cap of your favorite fabric softener. Pour all in the spray bottle and fill the rest of it with water. Shake and spray like you would febreeze. Very inexpensive and works 3x better.

This sounds sickening, but it actually does work, my aunt would put warm pee in her ear for an earache, and it would go away immediately.

To get rid of bugs in your house, put fabric softener sheets in various places throughout your house, you will never see a bug!

i have never heard or seen octagon soap. I will look at food city when I go in a bit. What exactly do I do? Just rub the bar on the stain then wash? Do clothes need to be damp and then treated. Thanks for your help I have 2 small kids who LOVE to get dirty. Anything is helpful when it comes to their laundry. Also my hubby works at a factory where they get pretty greasy and oily, also smell like grease. Any suggestions on that? I've tried everything! Thank you!!
