Depends on what you are buying. I will say that the people at Lowes used to be the most UNfriendly, UNhelpful bastages. Frickin' typical hillbillies. If they even THOUGHT someone MIGHT need help...they RAN the other direction. However, with the existence of HD and their very friendly, helpful attitude...Lowes has had to change for the positive. Lowes people are not QUITE up to the HD people's standard, BUT they HAVE come a long way. A LONG way. That's a GOOD thing.

Personally, I normally wind up at Lowes. One department of Lowes is just 1,000x better than HD's nation-wide. Since I've bought a lot of that stuff over the years....I still wind up at Lowes most of the time regardless of department. I know where things are in Lowes. I have an idea of what's available. When I go to HD...they never have quite what I need like Lowes. Same thing for me with Kmart v Walmart...I always wind up at frickin' Walmart.

If you guys even had one inkling of what an employee at Lowes goes through in half a day you would retract every statement you just made. Go work there for a summer and I promise you will have 1000 percent more respect for those guys....

I was 8 months pregnant and had went with my mom to get paint for a home she was remodeling and she needed a few other things as well. So she loads everything onto the cart and we go to check out, when we get there they didn't help her unload it to pay and she had to reload it back onto the cart and as we are going out the door they say would u like for someone to help u load it into your truck, well yes we would so we go outside and wait for 30 mins and no one comes so she then unloaded the cart into the truck by herself. Some may say this is no big deal but she only has 30% usage of her left arm because of a car wreck when I was a small child. So we now only shop with home depot!
