My husband and I went to the buffet half exspecting nothing more than chinese and japanese food in the same old holders ryans had. We were wrong. The decor is awesome and very inviting. The buffet is easier to get to and has an amazing selection of delicious food. I highly recommend this place!
Great place to eat

Glad you'uns just love the new horse trough in town. Y'all have fun grabbing them serving spoons and tongs that other people have just touched after not washing their hands for two days. Yumm.

It's very good. Lots of flavor and sushi bar was great. Big variety of food. Not just Chinese and Japanese. Also mashed taters broccoli chicken
Best Chinese in town. Way better than the dragon 7.29 for lunch
Oh and 8 different flavors of ice cream in an Ice cream cooler.
Lotta fresh fruit

Be careful what you eat. Ever since they opened the stray dog and cat population in town has gone down

Someone told me that the person responsible for disposing if animal remains at the animal shelter makes spare cash selling items to them. I think he was just bugging me. But I quit eating there just in case. They did name it after a dog. Makes you wonder

I think you mean Akita which has been the topic of several threads concerning the type of meat served

lots of Asian restaurants do serve authentic Asian cuisine whoc does include animals we do not eat in the states including dog and cat and sometimes rat or even horse. However they do not serve it to the general public, only special customers that are trusted.
I do not think there is a large enough Asian population around here for them to stock up on special meat.

Go to New york china town or several other large cities with concentrated Asian populations and you may find it.

I have worked as a busboy in a couple and gained the respect of owners and was let in on the secret.

I do wonder why anyone would name an Asian restaurant after a dog like Akita, t me that is just asking to be the subject of speculation and jokes.

Chinese restaurant caught with roadkill in kitchen, Ky. report says

The Red Flower Chinese Restaurant in Williamsburg, Ky. is accused of having roadkill in the kitchen
/ WYMT

(CBS) WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.- The Red Flower Chinese Restaurant was forced to shut down on Thursday after employees were seen dragging roadkill into the kitchen, reports CBS affiliate WYMT.

Make that one from Lane A and one from Lane B.

"We were actually joking about the, you know, the whole Chinese restaurant. You know some rumors that you hear," says Katie Hopkins, a customer of the Red Flower restaurant.

What Hopkins and her friends witnessed next apparently confirmed some of the rumors they had been discussing.

"Two of the workers came in wheeling a garbage can and they had a box sitting on top of it. And hanging out of the garbage can, they were trying to be real quick with it. So that nobody could see it. But there was like a tail, and a foot and leg. Sticking out of the garbage can and they wheeled it straight back into the kitchen," adds Hopkins.

Hopkins, who described the scene that left a trail of blood across the floor as 'very disturbing,' called the health department immediately.

let me preface this by saying i grew up around one of the largest korean immigrant enclaves in the u.s., and have traveled to korea many, many times. some of my best and closest friends are korean and i've eaten at more authentic korean restaurants than i can remember. i have yet to hear of one dish that includes dog, other than what was scraped together during the great famine in north korea in the 90s when the whole country was starving to death. i understand there are isolated parts of china that still consume cuisine with dog as part of the recipe, but its hardly a common practice, and i find it REALLY hard to believe its happening in the u.s., with food service regulation as strict as it is.

all of that aside, i wasn't implying the practice doesn't happen ever, i was illustrating the fact that the joke is tired and unfunny. kinda like the rest of the old, overused ethnic jokes posted on topix.
