The courts and law seems different in Morristown,Than anyplace else.Sure not like Law and Order.It seem like these people make the law as they go.

the only thing a grand jury does is to make a determination of whether or not a crime MAY have been committed. It takes much less to get an indictment than an officers probable cause to arrest. as for the law and order comment above... thats TV law... lmao ya know TV writers write that crap right...?!

shows how much you know! Law and Order is how the Law works in a big city. Just cause you live in podunk USA don't think bigger places are as backwards as you. Newsflash: All law Enforcement is NOT like the Barney Fife clowncops around here.

I have served on the grand jury before and most of the cases that are presented are brought up by the district attorney's office and evidence is presented by detectives that are investigating the case. However, an individual can contact the DA's office and present something themselves. If the grand jury looks at what is presented to them and feels there is not enough for an indictment, the case can be investigated further and presented to another grand jury at a later time.
