Hello Guys,

I wanted to pass this along to let you know that your local Celebration Church is making some headlines with their big relief and aid efforts to the people affected by the massive earthquake this week in Haiti. I think it would be a great piece to run on how your local Jacksonville community is pulling together to bring supplies to the people down there who desperately need it!

Obama already took my tax money and gave it away to Haiti. He choose what place my donations go and to who.
So, I won't give even a penny.I have already gave money.
When government stops deciding for me what charities my money is used for I'll start giving again.

Mrs. Dahl,
You're probably just a cheap...cheap and selfish people make-up excuses to feel better.
You should strive to feel better about yourself...I bet your family has you figured out too.

They can help everybody else, but they can't help their home town. I have ask for help many, many times and got NOTHING. I will not give to them either. Until they can help those around here.

Not a penny from the Palace of Oculus.

When the government stops raping my paycheck then I'll think about it.

Many people here in the US are in need and havent been helped at all. Only people here who get help are those who do the wrong thing, never put into the system and get everything for free. So you are right what goes around comes around.

To get anything from the govt you must abide by the following rules:

1. Dont work. Be perfectly able to but just dont want to and you will qualify for everything free under the sun.

2. Have 6 different kids with 6 different last names and you will really clean up them. Or better yet they all have the same last name as you because you have the foggiest clue as to who the daddy is.

3. Be from another country. Speak no English and have no intentions of ever learning and expect Americans to learn your language.

4. Live in another country.

5. Buy all the crap you cant afford and never could afford and you will get a bailout package.

6. Commit a crime and go to prison. There you will have free medical, dental, prescriptions, clothes, utilities, housing and 3 meals a day. Dont forget to inquire about the free degree you can receive so there is a snowball chance in he*l you might do something with it when you get out. Oh and free gym privileges and a library.

7. Scream discrimination every chance you get. This will nail your chances of free housing, WIC, Food Stamps ( oh my bad an EBT card), a free cell phone because God know it is not fair your azz dont work abd why should that stop you from having one, free home phone, free lights, free education...a voucher to go to a private school because it is not your fault you moved into a neighborhood where the schools are a death zone, free college because well it is just not right you cant pay for it.

So when the govt quits giving to the above losers and gives to all of us who have busted our azzes and done things the right way, I will gladly give my money to all other people. This has been a paid for public service announcement by pizzed off Americans everywhere!

Two work friends returned last night from a meeting in Miami. They stayed in the same hotel as a FEMA unit. While waiting on the airport shuttle, my friends inquired, were they heading to Haiti, and they replied, no they're heading home. So, my friends assumed they'd already been to Haiti & helped in relief efforts. They enlightened my friends by telling them that they never made it to Haiti, and had been on "standby" at the hotel since last Friday along with 8 other FEMA units throughout the state. They were ALL heading home because an "international agency" for Haiti instructed them not to come because they did not want or need their help! WTF?!

That blows my mind! No, I won't be donating my hard-earned money to a "mostly" ungrateful nation.

If you haven't donated yet...you had no intentions of doing so anyway.

Dear Dawgs1,
I actually want to apologize to you and what I wrote earlier. My comments have been on my mind and it was wrong.
I just get tired of reading peoples comments that places the devastation of a small poor country in our "political arena".
The rescue and relief mission apparently has holes in the plans and the administration of those plans. Someone....somewhere dropped the ball.
But given that, it shouldn't matter. You have people who have seen their children die, they have lost their limbs, their bodies are burned, they are hungry and need water and shelter.
They are desperate...it's survival.
The United States has always come forward under any and all Presidents to lend a helping hand.
We did a poor job with Katrina and that happened in New Orleans.

Anyway, I had no right to question you as to why or why not you or anyone contributes.
It's is a personal decision. Again, I apologize.

Just so you Obama-haters know, the Obama family today donated $15K of their own money towards the crisis! How generous of them!

CD, no worries and you didn't need to apologize, but I do appreciate it.

My heart does break for the innocent victims and the devastation left behind. I know many Haitians are thankful and appreciate our assistance. It's simply similar stories like the ones my friends shared that frustrates the honest (yet unappreciated) efforts.

Again, thank you. These type issues always frustrate those who care.

To all the negativie posts...

I think the posts here are disgusting, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You all have shelter, food, water, power and bloody internet! There are people dying, suffering, children & babies abandoned, disease is spreading, and while all of this goes on you sit in your bubble saying you refuse to help - what has happened to our society, open your hearts or get some help for your selfish behaviour, what happened to compassion and sharing? You are a disgrace to the human race!

You can afford to get online - you're not exactly dying on the streets!
