Poeple on disability who were initially denied for obviuos reason but then are granted it by the "Grace of God" yet are able to do things which require more effort than what was required of their previous work....how many people do you know like this?

I believe there are more people on Disability who could work than people who truly need it. I do understand there are people who should be taken care of, however in this area (& I am sure many other areas) it seems to be handed down from one generation to the next. It makes me literally sick to think about the people struggling, living pay check to pay check trying to survive, myself included, receiving absolutely no help while there are people who are carried through life by our government. Personally, I am fully capable of working, so therefore I will & I will work my hardest. I just get extremely frustrated by this subject. I can't even talk student loan lenders into leaving me with more than $35 a month for "extra" money. Lol

If a parent gets disability do the minor children still get money also? Years ago we knew a woman that has MS and her kids also got monthly checks. The kids would brag about it.

I feel for you and others who earn their living. As we try to put two kids through college with no help except loans, it is hard to sit back and watch the entitled go to school for free.

Yes, in most cases when a parent collects SSDI the minor children get a form of SSI from social security. It's not usually a great amount but its still something.

How are these people getting on disabilty when there is nothing wrong with them. Are you on forever once you get approved. Doesn't anyone check into these people? Why are they paying the kids of these people?

Disability gives reviews to people every 3-7 years depending on why they are considered disabled. The children get compensated because they are dependents of the disabled person.

Children. should never get benefits . It is the parents job to raise them . If you can't feed them then away they go . And if you can waddle , roll , or slide to your vehicle without any aides . And have a drivers licence than there is a job for you .

You are a moron. Disability is not just for fat people you ignorant jackass. Tell the military vets their children don't deserve compensation because they can no longer care for them because they were disabled while serving their country. You should be put to sleep like an old dog.
