If you get caught with a joint you can end up in jail for awhile.. But when you are an ex cop you can beat your wife and go home that day... Center county is as corrupt as Clearfield county is.....

Such an awful tragedy to happen in our small community. Its unfortunate that this type of situation escalated to what it did.She was a nice lady.always smiling when I seen her in the store. Many people are baffled by the fact that this man had beaten her up a few months ago and made several threats about killing her,Why wasnt He punished?and why did he have access to a gun being there was a PFA in effect?people are correct when they say the system failed at protecting her. Also,How does one walk thru a big parking lot in the open and nobody seen him carrying a rifle? Im in disbelief and confused.Retired cop or not,a law is a law and it should have been enforced! People knew He was struggling and was a threat to his wife and needed serious help, but apparently that was overlooked. Its too bad that this lady needed protection and everyone that had authority to help her, simply failed!! so sad..my heart breaks for her family.May God comfort them all..

I say we should hire off duty officers from the Philipsburg prison to protect the public

The guy was probably able to walk through a parking lot w/ a gun because there isn't usually a bunch of people there during the day. He could have kept it at his side.

and if he was spotted by someone in the parking lot w/ a gun, they couldn't have gotten help in time.
