How good a job are Channahon Police doing?

A research and assessment group is seeking input from the public about how it thinks the Channahon Police Department is doing. via Morris Daily Herald

I FEEL THE CHANNAHON POLICE DEPARTMENT IS MADE UP OF YOUNG ARROGANT LOOSE CANNONS WITH BADGES AND GUNS. THIS IS VERY SCARRY AS A CHANNAHON TOWNSHIP RESIDENT.

They ran down my buddy last spring on his motorcycle (they failed to yield at an intersection) with their squad and almost killed him. Then they gave HIM a ticket!

I recently had an encounter with some channhon officers and found they were very rude and arrogant. They failed to explain anything to me and showed no respect at all. I really hope this changes. Police officers are supposed to help citizens and be courteous and trustworthy. I did not feel comforted by them one bit.

As my place of employment got robbed at the end of February...I have really gotten to know some of the police from Channahon as they have now started stopping for lunch and checking on us regularly. I absolutly love all of them, as each of them have great personalities and are going above and beyond their job to make sure that the community is safe.

i had to hire the police complaint center in florida,against them.we were forced out of our home by them.harassed constantly because i filed a lawfull complaint against a few of there officers. there people are like demonic nazis,,, law and education mean nothing to them!

never judge righteous honest suprriors,it is foolish. my family owned the townhome at 25751 south red stable lane in channahon. i have the check stubs paid to the police complaint center try them on the web at police abuse.org . also i have copys of all complaints filed. I got slamed by the bald channahon cop all because i was eye balling him. I dont think thats enough reason to slam someone. And after a cop slams someone they usaully arrest them because they did something wrong. Right, nope he let me up and harrasted me to do something back to him so he could arrest me. but i kept my calm and took pictures of what he did to me i still have those pictures.Ooo forgot to mention his patner just sat there and watched him do this.In my opinoin channahon cops are above the law. day crew are ok but the night shift are pricks.

Channahon police have a fetish for pulling over women, specifically blondes. If there is no man in the car your chances of being stopped in Channahon greatly increase. These perverts make up reasons to stop vehicles with women in them, then claim some silly reason for the traffic stop. I have armed my wife and teenage daughter with digital recorders to start when pulled over. We soon will all hear what is said when the traffic stop occurs. I am creating a website that will post photographs and audio files of police actions. I'll keep you all aware of it's action.

Already today my daughter was followed and "eyed up" by an officer. I can't wait..from what the girls tell me the officers are VERY forward and like to grab at their crotches when approaching our SUV. Maybe the solution would be to get a massage parlor in town like Morris has where these guys can go and "work the kinks out"

I was nearly taken out today by a Channahon squad car as he sped through an intersection on a yellow light. I figured it must be an emergency given his driving tactics so I followed. Casey's General Store it was and when I parked to go inside he was deciding what bag of pretzels to buy. Give Me A Break! Give My Wallet A Break TOO!

I see that most of the comments msde against the police are from people who are not from Channahon. I have lived here for thirty years and have not had a problem. The Reason They are rude is BECAUSE THEY ARE UNDERSTAFFED AND DUE TO RECENT POPULATION INCREASE HERE AND MOST CHILDREN RUNNING AROUND WITH NO PARENTAL SUPERVISION AND MOST PARENTS ACTING LIKE CHILDREN THE LAW IS BEING FORCED TO RAISE THESE KIDS AND THEY ARE FED UP AS WELL AS TEACHERS. ALSO SINCE THE RECENT POPULATION INCREASE THERE HAS BEEN MORE CRIME INFLICTED UPON LONG TIME RESIDENTS HERE.

officers should give a warning for a not complete stop. my daugher got a ticket for not stopping all the way but wrote ticket saying she didnt stop at all. yeah tell it to judge and we will . waited one stop sign and 2 block total 7/8 of mile before stoping her and we live on this street
