I do not support the consolidation of the two school districts for many reasons. The first being that absolutely no research or planning has been attempted.
This group of businessmen that brought this on were on a vendetta to rid themselves of the current administration in the Perry School system. In the process they drug Morrice into their battle!
There is absolutely no data supporting any cost savings and no proof that it would in anyway help the students.
A mid-year consolidation would wreak havoc on both school systems! Teachers will be out of work with no insurance. Students will be without school for an unknown amount of time. The sports season will end (unless bill number 730 is passed with at least a two thirds vote on Jan.9th).
Another huge reason to not support consolidation is the loss of Non-Homestead tax. The amount lost adds up to almost 900,000.00!

I support consolidation. No need to pay two boards and administrations. No need for two of everything.
