Amneal announces availability of generic antiepileptic drug, Felbamate

Amneal Pharmaceuticals, LLC is pleased to announce that its generic Felbamate tablets are now available in 400 mg and 600 mg strengths.

two weeks after we changed to the generic felbatol, my husband had problems with his seizures. He had been seizure free for four years! So much for being the "same" thing!!

So if the generic felbatol isn't as good as the brand name, does anyone know what's in it? Most generics have stabilizers and additives, but I would love to know what is in generic felbatol.
I don't know if ANYONE can answer this, but I have to wonder WHY a person has to pay an ancillary fee even if the doctor writes a prescription for "Brand Name Necessary".

I also don't understand these (from Amneal's website):
"IT IS NOT KNOWN WHETHER OR NOT THE RISK OF DEVELOPING APLASTIC ANEMIA CHANGES WITH DURATION OF EXPOSURE...
IT IS NOT KNOWN WHETHER OR NOT THE RISK OF DEVELOPING HEPATIC FAILURE CHANGES WITH DURATION OF EXPOSURE."

I had always been told that the longer a person is on Felbatol, the lower a person's risk of horrible side effects.(So what happened to felbamate?)
