Where do you come up with this stuff? Check the laws (most recent 2010) and you will see that it is not difficult to dissolve a village at all. Again it is just not time yet. What's your rush? As long as there are no big expenses or bonds we should let them continue to illegally target renters. I say wait until the lawsuits begin or they start spending too much money and then dissolve.

You are so right. The person who started this thread should just stand on neighborhood rd, face west, and click their heels 3 times saying....dissolve, dissolve, dissolve. I heard that's all you need to do.

Actually about a thousand signatures on a petition will do it.

Just not time yet!

So your saying we need a referendum, and then a vote? See, they call me knucklehead because I didn't know that. Who knew you needed 2 elections? You see, a referendum IS an election, and all you need is ONE. Except , red heeled shoes kicked together also will be as successful.

A thousand signatures is all you need....really?

you and Brady need to get together and write better material. While your at it, write a proper 5 year plan for the village. Oh right, if you did that you couldnt give your family members NO BID CONTRACTS.
I get it. 20 people that get paid by the Village LOVE the village. The rest that are PAYING for the village are getting sick of the BS involved with the vision team.

Gary said at the work shop that it was 500,000 in the black so why is the treasurer ask to remove the 2% tax cap?
He also said that one million is coming in from FEMA, but they only pay back 85% of a claim, so how much did the village pay out?
And you can't say that FEMA is a surplus if it is a payback.
The catch basins in the street are filling up and flooding the roads because we don,t have a pump truck. You can't read the street signs that they wasted our money on at night, and they are putting up the same type of signs again. The stop lines they put down are fading after not even one year.
So if we are so in the black then why are they not buying better street signs that the public can read, why, because it will take longer to have them made and there is an election coming up.
Why did it take two years of a woman complaining to have a house knock down until now, because the election is coming up.
And if you look at the sex offenders, you say 6 level 3 are gone, but that's only two a year.
Victor, I was in favor of this village, but this is not the village the PCCA and the Vision Team told us we would have.
I drive down Neighborhood Road and it still looks like it did three years ago, only with less enterprise open.

40 years Brookhaven dumped and you expect miracles complete turnaround in 3 years? C'mon be real. Change is happening...I see it every day.

The vision team is gone. Turn the page in your book. I am sick of people reading the same page over and over. Every time I read your post I picture the wicked witch of the west (sorry, Brooklyn is west, just a coincidence).

Yes the TOB ruined MB for years but in 2006 the Republicans were kicked out and there were actual reforms enacted with the new districts and the new supervisor and council people. Neighborhood Road was cleaned up and the dumping in the wetlands and Jefferson Drive was completely cleaned up. The Town repaved All 88 miles of road in Mastic Beach BEFORE we became a village. Dan Panico and Mark Lesko got rid of 4 Sober homes in my immediate neighborhood and the streets were mowed, swept, and storm drains cleaned. There was 40 years of neglect up to 2006 but the reality is the Town was actually spending a lot of money and resources in Mastic Beach including having highway workers who lived in the area in charge of clean up. This was very effective and they managed to clean up most of the area. The Town code enforcement wrote more violations in the last two years before the village than the Village has written in the same time frame. Plus, according to the Family Watchdog website, we now have more level 2 and 3 sex offenders than we did before we became a village.

You can keep telling the "Town" sucks story but the bottom line is that people are realizing that maybe the Town sucked but the Village sucks more.
How do you figure

I thought Biondi and Stirz were voted in on the "vision" team? They no longer have a "vision"?

If we do not learn from our (their) mistakes we are bound to repeat them. Yes and the bigger picture is that the village idiots aka the mayor and trustees are incompetent, inept and in over their heads. The big picture is that this village will be dissolved within two years.
