Yes, of course, your taxes will go up because taxpayers fund ambulance districts.

Ambulance company needs a larger, more central location. They provided an estimate that would amount to less than $5 per month on an average house in the district. The ambulance company serves MBV and parts of Shirley by the way. I believe this is a good location and will enhance the Neighborhood Road area.

Many districts do have ambulance in their firehouse. The problem is MB ambulance has their own command structure and it would cause a lot of problems trying to merge it into one. The ambulance folks aren't going to like loosing their Chiefs and other officers. Then there is the problem of ambulances and fire trucks leaving at the same time. Sounds easy but unless the county forces them to merge I don't think they would do it on there own..
Also the fire department wouldn't like giving up space for ambulances and equipment.

I agree that they need a new building. They have outgrown the one they are in now, as many other companies have also.
I do disagree that it will cost about a $5 a month increase. It will cost a lot more than that, however the service they give to the residents is vitally important and worth whatever it costs.

how will the ambulance company "enhance neighborhood rd"? Will it be a hang out? Are they turning it into a bar at night? A few more garages, an ambulance station, a large ugly town hall and neighborhood rd will look all warm and cozy and I'm sure will draw lots of visitors from far and wide. Another poorly planed idea by the brain trust that is your trustees.

I am a certified EMT and a hero first responder and the first thing I do at the scene of an emergency is take the victim and get an enema bag with saline solution going right away.Doesnt matter if you have a tooth ache, I think you need an enema.

You would think a new ambulance building, in the heart of downtown would be attractive to all you old coots in the MBPOa. But all you want is an artist colony, with summer rentals and maybe you want to make the area a little more gay. Yeah, I'm getting mean, who cares.

how could a new ambulance building fit in with down town , if they set the building back 50 ft, and ive been here 22 years , on mastic road pass the high school maybe the old hardware store? the blaring noise all hours of the day, racing down the street? i know its for the good but this might not be the best spot, you tell me what you think?

It's pro rentals. More rentals. In one breath they say get rid of rentals, in the next they say lets have more rentals. All the while they blame the village for not getting rid of rentals. You can't make this stuff up.

You got the name FAIL right. The village did not make more rentals, all they did was hunt out the illegal ones, fine the owners, and after inspections and yearly rental permits they are legal. All you keep saying is the village wants more rentals. WRONG, all it wants is fewer illegal ones! But, that doesn't fit into your one way thinking.

Truth be told, the MBPOA is now under examination. Declining membership, assets dwindling, mounting losses. You know I'm right. How can the bar only make $25,000 in a year? Where is the cash going?

POA isn't under investigation. Oh you mean YOUR investigation Mr. "investigator"? That doesn't classify as an "investigation".
So, when is the village going to hand over the funds that the state of NY gave to the MBPOA? You're concerned with a private civic and 25 grand of money that's not yours? I'm concerned with what Gary, Gail and Bob are doing with the 400,000 THOUSAND DOLARS THAT THE STATE GAVE TO THE POA and they refuse to hand over!!!! Is that how Gary fixed his marina??? Makes you wonder where the REAL corruption is in MB? From a civic with no power or a group of crooks who hid funds and has an unlimited amount of money in the form of petty cash, visa credit cards and an extra 400,000 in grants that seemed to go missing.
You want to talk CORRUPTION Brady? Look at your village trustees FIRST!
STOP BLAMING THE VILLAGES PROBLEMS ON THE MBPOA. it's been long enough, our trustees obviously suck at what they do.
