<quoted text>How can the village be responsible for the downgrade of the MBPOA finances? The MBPOA ran losses of ($81,883) in 2007,($29,684) in 2008, and ($59,280) in 2009. Clearly, these periods were before the village even existed. So, in 3 years they lost ($170,847). They are currently running on spare change.
The village has about 5,200 residences, not 4,000. The argument that you gave about why the village shouldn't take over the docks, since YOU don't have a boat, is ineffective. You could also argue you shouldn't pay for ambulance or fire department since you have not used their services either. And, I hope you never do.
ambulances and fire departments are a SAFTY for society bumbas. Marinas are a luxury that should not be paid for for with tax dollars. Great! Let's open a tennis court with tax dollars! I like rock climbing! Let's get the village to shell out a million a year to build and maintain a rock climbing arena!
And once again, the BS that is spewed forth glosses over the real question? WHY does the village want the waterfront so much if they are planing to keep it the way it is????
I await your NONresponse to the question.

You are right. Why should the village be in the marina business !(exclamation to indicate sarcasm). Hope they sell it as soon as they get it.

Mayor Bill B said HIMSELF that FEMA gave 400,000 dollars for the repair of the two marinas but he refuses to hand the money over.(HE keeps stating that the POA can't get the money, no one else) Looks like the POA were right all along, Billy boy himself said he is withholding the money from them to repair the marinas.
And I like how Gail said "we can't developer (in wetlands) because of 'zoning restraints'". Wasn't it GAIL and BOB that approved the re-zoning for their buddy to build a garage on Neighborhood road? I really don't think "zoning restrictions" are an issue in MBV any more. As we have seen time and again, the elite 5 can re-zone anything they want.
As a tax pay, I'm appalled at the village and this type of fighting and wasteful spending for marinas that only a handful of selected few will be able to use. And if the village doesn't want to develops the land, why fight so hard to get it? If it's going to remain the same as it is now, why not just leave it? Where's THAT answer Mr. Mayor?
this money was a grant; not fema money. that is totally separate money. it is confusing, i know

OK, I am now more than confused. Why would the agency who is providing a grant to the MBPOA NOT SEND THE MONEY DIRECTLY TO THE MBPOA?

exactly, why should they be? I have never heard one reason why they should. Nor have I heard one answer on what they would do with it. More BS from Brady and Gary's Goons(TM).

I don't have any GOONS. I am a lone operative.

The reason they want the marinas is because that is what the MBPOA deed says belongs to the village. They will use it as an asset to the community, not just a personal piggy bank. Don't ask a question if you don't want to hear the answer.

an asset to the community? How? By spending millions on up keep? By having thousands of household spend tax money so a few hundred of " friends of the village" can have dock space. I'll ask the questions until I hear a real response. The "because the people want it" isn't an answer. It's a BS joke response.
Or is it because the village can get it so Gary can charge more which will ultimately bring more customers to HIS marina? Yeah, that sounds like the real reason to me.

I didnt know we are all being graded on here. I hope the teacher doesnt give me detention. I read all the bs spewed and its just disgusting. You anti village people will write anything to stir the pot. First i saw the MBPOA deeds, it goes to teh village so Bob D, Maura and her band of merry thieves have been stealing from the village and its residents as well as their own members. Village marinas traditionally are less expensive then a regular private marina. So good luck with all this Gary talk. Anything to spread lies. Second, vote in Maura and Bruce , two people who lie so much that actually belive their lies....I am so done with Maura and her she lives in Brooklyn bs. She has stabbed so many people in the back through the years, what makes you think she wont stab the flock of sheep that vote for her???

Many people use cell phones and IPads to post, which makes using punctuation too time consuming. Spelling is also sometimes changed by the word fill or spell check ap. But, you are right about the Anti-Village shills who berate honorable people, because; they feel their Empire crumbling. For example....over the period 2006 through 2012, the MBPOA Cash Account (their only asset because they do not OWN the Marinas or Clubhouse), has dwindled down to barely enough to operate for one more month. The decrease is enormous....over $200,000. Losses have been occurring in Marina operation (a lot of cash transactions...draw your own conclusion).

I post with my registered name when I am home. If I am on a portable device, you will just see Brady, from whatever location I happen to be getting my internet.(work maybe?, my truck....yup!)

Does the MBPOA actually own the property along the coast or are they stewards of that also, like the marinas and clubhouse?
I see that Frank F has called for debates. I wonder if all the candidates will agree to a debate?

The land along Riviera is deeded to the MBPOA who are stewards only.

Debates will be even more interesting and I do hope ALL candidates (including the well known but not yet announced person).

Wow, now there is another person entering the race? I can't wait to hear who that person is.
If the MBPOA are only stewards of the land along Riviera then they don't own it. I wonder if that is also included in the lawsuit about the marinas and clubhouse?
