A friend of mine is trying to sell their home out there; if this is an indication of the type of people in Mastic Beach, I wish him luck. Whoever wrote this is trash
These are the type of people who are behind the movement to incorporate as a village and these are currently the people who are in charge and tell us whats best for us and how we should live our lives.
THIS particular POS is the cream of the crop. Good luck to him indeed!

the village was voted in by the majority of the voters. If you don't like it, do something.

He bought about 5 years ago and thinks he'll get his money back. I don't think so, even with the improvements he made. Good luck to you, with your new village

If there are only eight people posting on here why do you continue to argue with them? Its obvious no one is going to change their position. Justifying your paycheck?

If he cant, he should rent it out. The village is giving out rental permits hand over fist. They need the revenue because the budget grew from $500,000 to over 4 million in one year.(who could have seen that coming??)
The current administration wont be around too much longer so it doesnt really effect me. My house is paid off, I live by the water and I have a nice stick dock to park my boat at.(the REAL reason this village was formed: stick docks and waterfront) This place wasnt bad before the village and other than looking trashier and not mowing the sides of the roads, not much has changed.

Unfortunately, for my friend, the property values appear to have gone down out there. He may need to short sale it, or as you said, rent it.

As a wise man has already said...I don't work for the village. Do you really think there are more than 8 people posting on here? I post because I want my point of view to be stated, often in contrast with the others who often differ with me. Is that ok with you?

I do not work for the village, I support the village 100%. I think its the only thing hat will clean this place up. I do not support the MBPOA. I know of their lies and deceit for years upon years starting with earthworm food. The village was formed because the MBPOA did nothing when problems were brought to them because it was found out that THEY were the problem. Their directors were slumlords here and were making money off of us. That is a fact. Now, I am the one who called everyone , I know that eventually, Kevin scumbag Collins and Maura the wicked witch of Mastic Beach/Brooklyn and their merry band of thieves will pay the price for being lawbreakers. FYI---IRS has been notified due to their status and limited who can join. They will lose their not for profit status and whos gonna be responsible for all that money they have pilfered???? Someone has to pay the tax....Get off your broomstick Maura you hag and open your wallet from you illegal rentals.....Wheres Bruce too???? Another idiot....One day they will be in cuffs paying the piper...I said it once , Ill say it again, earthworm food Diboner was their braintrust, he knew how to DR the books, they dont..
It is actually funny. first you call the DA and they find nothing. Then you call the Liquor authority, and again everything is in order. Then you call DEC, Fire Marshall, and Health Department. Guess what? again nothing wrong. Now you are calling the IRS. Wow, sounding a little desperate and more than a little creepy. Sounds like stalking and harassment to me. But keep on going. Call the Feds next. MBPOA is probably responsible for global warming;;alert the media.

you are a fool

Well I haven't counted but I would bet thee is less than 8 and that at least five post under multiple names. Out of the eight 3 think your posts are nuts. I am not one of them. I just think they are repetitive. And one sided. Answer this question honestly. Do you think the highway department did a good job of painting the lines down the middle of Neighborhood Road?

Oh, Please do so. And give an honest opinion. Who ever was in charge should have been given a sobriety test.

that would be most of this administration. But as long as they get paid, why would they care if they do a decent job? Money for nothing, and we get F-ed in the end.

the problem is that the workers that painted the roads have absolutely no experience. they were given an shiny new machine and told to go paint the roads. they had no training. one of them is 20 years old and the only training he had in painting was in grade school. they seem like perfectly nice guys, but they don't know what they are doing. they are children of "friends of the village" former mbvec honchos.

And when we pay the same taxes for less services and poor quality, how is that Tax neutral? This is to the village supporter.
You say our taxes haven't gone up, but we are seeing a decline in quality of work and there is no doubt that the village has more garbage and looks trashier. And all we hear is..."give us time".
Times up, we want what was promised, THE SAME SERVICE AT THE SAME COST!

Thank you for an honest answer. I went out today and took another look. From handy Pantry to Jefferson looks ok. From Handy Pantry to Commack look awful.
Well the crooked man with the crooked house has crooked lines painted on his crooked road. Painted by crooks.
