just wondering, why is something paid for by my tax dollars being used as a weapon? Obviously the Village gives the MBPOA alot of thought. They must think about it every day. It would be funny, really, except that my tax dollars are being abused to print a bash of the mbpoa in the guise of village news. Maybe I should sue. After all, nobody consulted me.

the village is pathetic! Obviously they lied to get a village voted in to get the waterfront and marinas. Now that it's not going in their favor, they need to sue, fine and try to bankrupt the MBPOA. They better do it before next election because the "vision" won't be around much longer.
You also have to remember, the village doesn't actually DO anything. They attack, lie and blame everyone for THEIR mistakes. And the group that is the best target is the MBPOA.
I'm shocked they actually put out a newsletter and it's not even election time. But I agree, a tax paid propaganda paper really pisses me off.

That deed seemed pretty clear to me, I'm glad they are working for the people in this community. I thought it was a great newsletter that exposed the rotten scoundrels on the Bod of the Poa that are wasting time and effort for a fruitless, fraudulent cause. I'm glad they took you to the mat over this, it may be the least of your problems

well, seeing as how it's the VILLAGE that is suing the MBPOA, not the other way around, it would be the VILLAGE wasting taxpayers money, not the POA.
We all know the village is full of sh!t. The 10 of you village supporters and employees are the only ones who are delusional and brainwashed enough to believe the BS coming from village hall. Oh well, what's a few thousand dollars to the village lawyer. I'm sure he's really upset about the lawsuits. HE'S the only one benefiting from this.

You know what the deed says and its intention, you just don't agree with the inevitable outcome. Too bad reality does not agree with you. For the sake of this community, I beg you to re-read your founding documents and adjust your position. But the truth of the matter is this scuffle is but a side note of the logical reasons for incorporating this area and the myriad benefits for the community that it entails.

if by "benefit" you mean Gary getting the marinas to raise the price so more people have to go to HIS marina because they won't be able to afford the "village marinas" at 80 dollars a foot, then yeah, Gary will definitely "benefit".idiot!

The reality is this community is benefitting greatly already despite your efforts. Gary is a trustee, that is all, and he is doing a great job as is the rest of our local elected officials. Much to your chagrin. But keep calling me an idiot ( as you have for the last five years ) as you sink deeper into the quicksands you built your foundations on.

idiot. How much are we the TAXPAYER paying Alan to put out that BS PR "newsletter"? If it's more than a hundred dollars, we the TAX payers are getting screwed!
We're benefiting from this village? How? We didn't get out roads repaired like mastic did from the TOb. Instead we get the kids, probably yours, from the MBVEC running a piss poor DPW that is VERY inept. We have a deputy mayor who's only goal is to line his pockets at OUR expense. The roads are trashier. The grass is NEVER mowed. Oh, by Stiriz marina it is, but no where else. And the only people being fined to fund the village are people that the vision team doesn't like. If your friends or supporters of the village,(Rhonda), you can do what you what to your house without filing for permits. Like Stiriz marina. When is Gary going to show proof that he filed for permits? Never? That's what I thought. Yeah, we all see who "benefits" from the village. Idiot.

Are you that important that consultation is required? Here's an idea. Because the bulk of the taxes you pay are school taxes, go tell the school board that you require consultation, and they need your approval, before they do anything. OK?

The village has been forced to sue the MBPOA to protect the rights of the residents, because the MBPOA is not doing what its own deed says. The waterfront belongs to the residents of Mastic Beach. The MBPOA is wasting the taxpayers' money in refusing to comply with it very own deed. I wonder if the individuals that are responsible for withholding the MBPOA properties can be held responsible for this? Anyone know?

the rights of the residents? I was unaware that all the residents of MBV wants the village to have the waterfront. Because to me it looks like a very smaller group of people lead by Gary wants the waterfront so they can develop it. How about this...have the village put it to a vote at this years election. If the majority wants the village to have the land to develop it, fine. If the majority wants it left alone and in the hands of the MBPOA, fine. Let it go to a vote. Stop the bullsh!t by saying the "village is protecting the rights of the residents by suing the MBPOA". We all know that's a lie. The "village" is looking to destroy the waterfront not protect it.why else would Gary denying the "residents" funds from the state by turning the waterfront into a green zone? He's protecting his wallet, not my rights.

if you go on to the nys website, you can find that indeed the thing concerning the fire marshalls was on the agenda on the day in question.(another lie by the village) the village did not bother to show up. that is not anybody's fault but their own. nys did not let anyone "convince" them to do anything. if you don't show up when your item is on the agenda, you don't get to bash people who do.

how much do you think it costs to produce a color newsletter? there are over 5000 homes in mastic beach. it was mailed to all of them. for my money, i would like real news. i would like to know why the lines were done 3 times on neighborhood road. i would like to know why i can't go out at night, and what is being done about it. i would like to know why it is so difficult to get tim brojer to respond to permit application questions. these are important issues. i would like to know what the village is doing to ensure that it's residents are safe when there are gangs of kids roaming around every night. this is some of the important information i would like. please don't spend my tax dollars to foster an old grudge.

Most know I do not like the Village or the POA. But the News & Updates were very informative. Only two pages were devoted to the POA situation which I am sure everyone would like to read. You can believe what was wrote or not. At least they tried to inform us a little. I agree the POA should give it up. If the deed is correct.than stop being idiots and go away.
I still feel that was the sole purpose of the vision team. To get the docks away from the POA. Now they are stuck with running a village. Not so easy is it? If they stopped worrying about lining their families pockets we might have had straight lines on Neighborhood road.
So the village are idiots to. Cant wait for 2017.

This post demonstrates why the village newspaper needs to correct the lies that certain persons start. You are causing the waste of taxpayers' money. Thank you very much!

the village just demonstrated the new security cameras at the last PCCA meeting. These cameras alert the village of suspicious activity and the police are called immediately, when warranted. The village is working on securing a better grants to raise flood prone houses. Once accomplished, theses houses will be very desirable and improve our image. I disagree with the idea the village wax formed with intent to take away the marinas. That deed was not even known until the census process was almost completed. But, who cares what I post? If 2017 is your retirement year, good luck. As I advise all my clients contemplating retirement. Practice now living on your expected net retirement income. Cut back on expenses. Pay down all debts. Downsize everything unnecessary. MB did not decline overnight, it will not be corrected in overnight either. As you can see, I took your advice and registered.

know what's funny? The MBPOA had cameras all along neighborhood rd and it was free to the residents. Now we get to PAY for them with our taxes because the village needed to control everything. Aww, forget it. Go ahead and defend the village saying the POA were spying on neighborhood rd but the village is doing it for our benefit.

You say the MBPOA had free cameras but failed to mention why they were "free". You also assume the village is paying for the new cameras, which are high def, facial and license plate recognition capable, and send alerts to registered users who are in contact with police.

the deed was known from the beginning. ask victor. he is the one who kept shoving it in people's faces. the village was supposed to be better than brookhaven. and more transparent. everything they do is a secret. it is ridiculous. i don't understand the need to draw lines on the road three times to get it right. if qualified people were hired instead of family members of the friends of the village, maybe jobs would be done right. the village has a responsibility to the taxpayers. the village has repeatedly been asked to go to the 7/11 and talk to the owner. in every other 7/11 on long island, condoms and sexual items are kept either behind the counter or in the back. in the village of mastic beach, they are on the FIRST shelf you see when you walk into the store. it creates a bad environment. also, they do not put up any of the promotional posters or signs and it looks terrible. the village is so focused on the mbpoa that they are failing to do what they promised.
