Yes did you read the Long Island Advance? Did you read the Editorial that was in the Advance? Looks like it might be the end of the MBPOA and Maura and her Merry Band of Thieves.

oh Zany. They're fine. I heard the membership is getting a nice check soon. Even if they don't, the amount they will get from the village after the lawsuit will support them quit nicely.
The village shouldn't have abused their power. Seems like even "Brady" is distancing himself from you.

On the contrary, I am distancing myself from you... After seeing the poster who slams the Manorville horse farm guy, sometimes 20x a day, I realized there has to be a better way to make a point.

Personally, I don't believe the issues stated in the article are indications of harassment. And, the article further states you (the collective you, not you personally) intends to grill all the litigants. The article also says the poa intends to cast a wide net that includes the MBVEC (which has been disbanded since the day the village started).

What I see in all this is a desperate attempt to stall the other court cases even further, and a last ditch effort that will fail.

What I see is an origination that is tired of being targeted and harassed. The towing of cars and strong code enforcment presanve at ALL the poa fuctions and not any other civics sisplays that. And if you don't think Gary abused his "power" by fixing his marina while trying to have his competition closed down then you are walking the thin line of corruption yourself.
Bravo POA for finally saying ENOUGH!
Oh, congratulations on the marinas. They look great for what you've had to endure from sandy and then the village. Personally I believe sandy was easier to deal with.

when Gary renovates his marina without permits and stops the POA from renovating theirs, it's not abuse of power? Make it fair for everyone, not a selective few.
So what happened Vic, Bill told you to stop posting on topix under your own name? I guess it does look bad for village employees to bad mouth everyone on a public form.

Both the Village and the MBPOA are wrong. The hatred that both sides has for the other has overtaken any thing good that can come out of the Village and the MBPOA. There will never be a viable Village or MBPOA until they stop the fighting and move on. In the interest of the residents of the Village, why can't both admit they have done some wrong things and also some right things and move on?
Both sides have made themselves the laughing stock of the community. It is so sad for everyone.

i don't see how this could stall the other court case. it is simply a warning to those who think that their brand of harassment and underhanded dealings will not be tolerated anymore. the law does apply to the village. if they have abused their power, then they should be held accountable. maybe this will force the village to do things the right, legal way, instead of the underhanded, sneaky way.

Dear Confused Biker, it is my belief that the possible pending litigation will be used as yet another excuse to ask for more time. I would do the same thing, if I were them. Funny thing about litigation, sometimes you get less than you want, and unintended consequences are always a possibility. Discovery gets very intrusive sometimes revealing financial issues better left in a dark drawer.

again, the POA is a civic with no power in our government. Our GOVERNMENT is abusing their power. The "solution" of just give us your property and everything will be Ok will not work.

thats funny. It also will show Gary's finances as well. Also if he ever acquired the proper permits for his renovations. And which Company he hired to do the work at his marina. Sure hope he has all of that documented and didn't use village equipment or employees. That would RELLY look bad for a deputy mayor if he doesn't.

I wouldn't be so quick to critcize Honest Franks spackling if I was you Brady. Your work requires hours of sanding bud. And your corner beads look like bananas. A lot of guys think you stink....like a bucket of bunker chum on a hot day.
