How does an individual go about becoming a candidate for a village office position? Is there anyone that would be excluded? Like fireman? Teachers?

Be 18 or older, a US citizen, be a resident of MBV. Declare your intentions by circulating a petition as per NY Village law (100 valid signatures), and to the writer of this question....be a real registered voter.

hey brady, do you have a valid link to where this information came from? so much information you put out as FACT turns out to be B/S and lies. You really need to work on your credibility and providing a source for you provided information helps to restore your credibility.

And when you say you got it from numerous reliable sources like you did with your 3/20/2012 'fact' that doesnt count.

A more reliable source of information something like this...... view page#27 on this link>>> http://www.longislandadvance.net/uploaded/ADV...

see how that works Brady, not too hard, is it?

you don't need a petition to work in the office of the village. you only need that if you want to run for a trustee position or mayor. otherwise, you just submit a job application.

If the question is how to get a job in the village, just apply for any open position. I thought the poster was looking for how to be a candidate for office.

i have a question. in the long island advance they advertised that ghetto carnival as april 11th to april 14th. the carnival was open last night and the sign that says who is running it is down. there is no sign. no prices. nothing. do they have permits for this weekend?

why would they advertise last weekend and still be there this weekend>

anybody know the answer to this question?

Well, geee. How the hell do you think one gets a position anywhere? YOU APPLY! Theres no "serious" discussion needed. If you are friends with the vision team or worked for the MBVEC, you apply and get a job. If you aren"t, you need NOT apply. How much discussion do you need for that?

You are full of it. I bet you can't even find 5 employees who signed the original petition to become a village.

whats amazing is you believe that BS! Sorry Brady, if you want to work at village hall, you need to be a family member, like Gary's family, or a friend of the Vision Team, like everyone else. Oh, but you DON'T need a hundred signature like YOU stated.

the original question mentioned being a CANDIDATE FOR OFFICE, but apparently the poster meant to say job applicant. I listed the requirements to run for office because that is what I believed was the question.

Anybody can apply for a job, you just have to be available to work, and some jobs need certain training or prior job experience. Many people want to imply the employees were all village supporters, but now that myself and Vic pointed out that is not true, the thread now says only friends or relatives.

Really how many no village people are currently working for the village. There does seem to be a lot of family relations going on in village hall.

the motto at the village is simple. "if you don't complain or have a brain, you can have a job." (and it helps if you have the right bloodline, as well)
