Iv been following this for a while and i fihure ill chime in. First off, my heart and prayers go out to the girl's family. No one should have to lose a child. Second off, there is no way you can call this an "accident". Accidents are when some things happens that is out of reasonable control. This was no accident. The kid had 2 passengers in his car. He was driving like an asshole and ignored the fact that he held 2 of his friend's lives in his hands. He was speeding and he crashed and killed her. I do not feel sorry for him one bit, we all know that speed kills. He knew that driving fast can cause a crash, but he chosen to risk his life AND the lives of his passengers. He crashed, killed his friend. Hope he gets some cage time to think about what he did. Over the last 3 weeks we had too many fatalities on our roads. Make an example out of him so others may think twice before doing something like this.

you cant prevent death but you should be able to put it off for 70 or 80 years if you're lucky.. people put themselves in certain situations throughout life and sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't..this was an accident and a young girl died and it will probably take the driver years to deal with this, if ever..people die everyday, its a part of life.. The driver walked away with a bandaid. Nicole Baker, my beloved niece, was killed. The accident occured on a straight way by kingdom road. The skidmarks are over one hundred feet long to the trees. Apparently alcohol is not thought to be a factor. But how fast was the Denton boy going with a helpless passenger trapped in the back of the car? The police figure 90 at least. Nikki would not have liked that. I can only imagine how scared she was in the moments before she was violently ejected from the vehicle, then struck in the head by the car itself.
She graduated from NAC Friday night, and was down visiting her grandparents in Port Henry. She was set to attend SUNY Potsdam in the fall to study psychology. She was smart, beautiful, and young. We will never be the same again. RIP my beautiful girl. I will miss you for the rest of my days.

how much sympathy did you family give to ours when your relative let our Jenn die??

Omfg. Seriously this thread has nothing to do with Jen smith. She was a train wreck because of the family she was brought up in. She made the decision to do drugs no one forced her to do it. It was her own fault and no one else's that she died. Move in with your life instead of blaming everyone else for her death.
This poor girl got into a car not knowing the driver was going to be an idiot and do 90 mph on a crappy rd. and get her killed. She is innocent here and he should pay for that.

I know when I was that age I loved to drive fast. Yes this shouldn't have happened but stop looking for someone to blame. Keith didn't mean to kill her and for all we know maybe she was in the back egging him on to go faster. Stop all the arguing. It happened and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Let the girl rest in peace.

Let her rest in peace YES-but with some justice and respect for her family-not letting a fool get away with killing a girl Both idiot drivers should be charged-It scares me to think he could be back on the road-has had way too many chances and didn't learn

And this is why no one will rest in peace or heal from this ordeal. Because people like you won't let it rest. Do you think all this arguing is going to change anything! NO let it be. Let her family grieve and his family cope. Be an adult and let it rest. If your able.

I didn't say he should get away with it. What I said is the arguing and the childness of these posts are not solving anything. He will face what is coming to him. But for now this all should stop. I'm sure others out there will agree with me that all this fighting is pointless and solves nothing.

Did anyone in that car have a seatbelt on? If we are going to play the blame game lets have all the facts... did someone die because of wreckless driving? And did that someone choose to not wear a seatbelt? Would she still be here if he had slowed down? Would she still be here if she made the choice to buckle up? I think they are all to blame!

ummm yes. I know for a fact from someone who was at the accident scene that she had her seatbelt on. As a matter of fact if you wanna get technical about it asshole when the rescue crews got there she was still seat belted in half dangling out the car with the car upside down pinned on top of her. So stop blaming this poor girl for her death you heartless ass it was the idiot drivers fault!!

maybe you should stop listening to his family who keep defending the idiot. She was in the back seat and wearing a seat belt. And as someone else said even if she wasn't buckled he's still at fault. I hope he gets thrown in jail for a long time.

You cant be in the back seat, wearing a seat belt and pinned underneath the car at the same time..... not blaming her for her death. Just getting the facts right.

This kid has been nothing but trouble, he's had plenty of second chances, NOT this time!! He'll pay the price, wait and see. His family is real classy with their comments to Nikki's family and telling them to fuck off, REMY put yourself in that families shoes, say that was your son you were planning a funeral for and it was her that took his life. You'd be reacting the same way. Her life lied in his hands that night and because he was careless and stupid she lost her life. He sat in the hospital and didn't care the extent of anyone's injuries, he was scared of going to jail because deep down inside he knew he was wrong..
