Housing along the Mon river

Hey I am considering buying a piece of property along the Mon river and have been told that during the summer it smells pretty bad. Wanting to get opinions from people who have lived by the Mon river preferably in the star city area.

Any opinions on how bad it is during the summer?

Yes it stinks, the sewer treatment plant is located right beside the Star City bridge. They have made some improvements over the years but it is still bad. That's probably why the new townhomes recently built along the river in Star City recently went bankrupt. The town is broke too and can't really afford to be a town.
