working in the clinic isn't bad. long hours, but it's a nice experience; particularly if you appreciate the fact you're helping unhappy people feel better. i didn't work the clinic side, but i thought about how i was indirectly helping people feel better sometimes..and it helped with how soulless the grind can be.
the corporate office/billing side: avoid. egos, backstabbing, lying fucktards. that's not an angry ex employee talking..that's somebody with a considerable insight on some of the higher conversations that existed. it got too big for its britches quickly and many of the loyal, longtimers have or are paying the price. when i left, the attitude was pretty much "don't like it? fuck you." a group of clinic managers volunteered to give up their bonuses to their staff since their staff was getting nothing, and many were let go as a result. i used to be proud to be a part of something so great and based out of our great state, but now i'm more often stuck explaining how i ever got involved in such a terrible, terrible culture.
