My child recently had to spend a few days at wvu hospital. The nurses on night shift were AMAZING and I appreciated them very much...there was one nurse on day/afternoon shift that i think should choose another career. She acted annoyed, put out, and irritated to answer questions and I didn't dare ask for anything. Consequently my child did not receive the care that was intended until the night nurse arrived. I'm also a medical professional so I didn't need or ask for much, I understand how busy nurses get but to flat out not provide an intended doctors order out of laziness isnt acceptable. Anyone else have a similar experience as a patient at wvuh?

R U Serious to write a response like that to someone? How would you feel if this was your child? Would you want the best care and expect the best care? I bet by the way you responded to this topix you would be the first to bithc and complain. How dare you make such a stupid comment.

I am sorry you had this experience. I would have reported her. There is NO EXCUSE for acting like this. Her job is to follow doctor's orders, do whatever is necessary on her shift regardless of what else was going on in her life. Thats the problem with SOME of these nurses or aides working at the hospitals, they are lazy and just want a pay check. They need to start caring about the patients and think if it were their family member laying there. "treat others like you want to be treated". Next time, get names and start reporting them. It is their job and they need to do it

Hey Alex, no my child didn't die and its ok that ur ignorant on the subject bc u haven't (thank God) procreated, therefore I will ignore ur statement. There are children that die everyday in hospitals and there's no excuse for subpar care to children! I did decide to report the incident since the hospital conveniently sends out surveys regarding ur stay.
