Do you think its possible the man accused of assasinating the County Sheriff can get a fair trial in Mingo County?

Ridge Runner, I don't guess you've heard, but Judge Michael Thornsbury has already excused himself from hearing the trial and has asked for someone else who would not be so biased can hear the case. They need a judge from outside of Mingo County or even Southern WV to hear this case. I heard that there was in fact a bounty on Sheriff Crum and Maynard thought he could pull it off and take the money and run. Well we all know how that worked out, not too good!

Yes, Judge Thornsbury was a friend of the Crum family and has recused himself from the trial. Another judge was assigned to the case and I believe he is from Huntington.
I haven't read or heard anything about a bounty but the Mingo County Proscecutor has said he did not think the Sheriff's assasination was drug-related. If that's true, it seems to obviate the need for a bounty.
