Review: Yellow Cab Taxi Taxi

The lady who answers the phone literally runs off customers. I requested a cab, but told the lady I had to be at the airport at 10:30, so I needed the cab to get me there by 9:30. The cab arrived to pick me up at 10:00. The driver said he was never told to be there by 9:30.
The second time, I decided to schedule the cab ahead of time and called 4 hours early for a cab to pick me up at 9:30, the lady who answered screamed into the phone, "just call us when you are ready". I said I did last time and you were late, so I am giving you plenty of notice. She refused to take the information down and repeated that I need to call when I am ready. I gave $20 to a neighbor to take me.
The third time, I called at 8:30 am and told them I was ready for pickup, just like the lady asked. She responded, "I will get a cab there when I can" I said, will it be here by 9:30? "She said I can't guarantee it". I said well, I need to be there before 9:45, and if you don't have a cab here by 9:30, I will not be taking it and will drive myself. She responded,(get this) "then you should have called ahead of time to schedule" I responded that I tried to last time, and you would not schedule it. She blew up on the phone and said, "then drive your own car!"
I asked her if she was the owner. She said no. I said that her boss would probably love to hear that she is advising customers not to utilize them. She screamed back, go ahead and tell my boss. So she felt confident the Yellow Cab boss would back her up.
This is what is wrong with a monopoly. This is the only game in town. Right now, I am getting together a coalition of investors to begin a competitive cab company that will give customers a choice and they will have to complete with the best service. It turns out that everybody has a similar story as mine and the others who have been just as frustrated. A website will be set up soon to allow people to voice their opinion or at least call for the removal of the lady who hates customers.

Agree 100% that Morgantown needs another alternative. Sadly, the state public service commission has ruled that we don't need another taxi service. Yes, this is the same agency that governs towing companies. How many of those do we have or do we need? Makes no sense at all. I am told that the legislature needs to get involved and change the rules. The service we have now is embarrassing.
