Our family had a terrible experience at this dental office. She does not take the time to discuss options or what is best for the patient. I can tell you from personal experience that instead of discussing things with the patient she does what her staff tells her to do. In my opinion this is not the right way for a professional doctor to behave.

Wow, you're still upset over your experience. I thought you had moved on. Do you know what you are doing to your body with this continued anger?

Please try and forget the whole incident as you're simply rubbing salt in your wound by going over it again and again.

The thing to remember - is - can you fix the mistakes she made? If not then move on -- if you can - then fix it and move on.

Don't get me wrong I feel very bad for you but move on....stop looking in the rear view mirror, you know what happens when you do that....

Stop dwelling on this and begin to enjoy life...you're only here for such short time on this planet...don't use that time with anger. It only hurts you.

Bikerchick, thank you for taking the time to respond to my post, although I honestly don’t know how you could see even an ounce of anger in my post. I simply feel I have an obligation to the people of the tricounty to tell them what I witnessed in the office of Yooson Kim. What kind of dentistry I saw, and what kind of person I met. At least that way anybody that wants to do a little research can make an informed decision.

Now bridge, I thought you said you were not going to post on this topic anymore since it was so obviously all your fault.
It's just odd no one else chimes in with such horror stories. I have nothing but praise for the care I've received there.

been there: You know for a fact that on the last Yooson Kim board there were numerous complaints about this doctor. Maybe my honest to God story has had some effect on Dr. Kim and now she actually takes the time to talk to her patients...."it was so obviously all your fault", "let the bs flow" you just can't quit attacking can you?

bridge, I'm taking issue with your actions. I think you have ulterior motives to your postings. But that's just my opinion. I've been a patient of Dr. Kim since she's moved to the area and only received wonderful care from her. If, as you say, "She does not take the time to discuss options or what is best for the patient", you should have moved on and got a second opinion. But that's Ok, we all make mistakes.

Your teeth are a cherished gift from the Lord and it is a mighty pressin' matter that you get yourself a dentist that feels the same, an this fair little lady ain't the one, near as I can tell. I had me the most awful, an disconcertin' visit at this so-called healthcare establishment. Why.... this petite and genteel woman dealt me a blow so fearsom'.... an so devastain'.... that I truly fear that I shall never recover. Damnation! This itty-bitty dentist visited ruination upon two a my precious, precious teeth and laid waste to my dental fortitude, and then had the gumption to blame it all on a little ol' receptionist. Damnation! Well.... like I was sayin' earlier your teeth are a mighty valuable thing, so get yourself a dentist that will treat them as if the providence of the Almighty himself was guiding her hand! Unfortunat' for me I didn' have the discernment necessary to get me a pleasin' outcome. DAMNATION! Now I have not just givin' you a piece a my mind, but a piece a wisdom you can take to the bank. Now in summation I would like propose not affaliatin' with this here dentist, nor takin' your precious loved ones here neither', dont even take your dog... well now that's entirely up to you. Thank you for your time and I hope my words will be a blessn' to you, an' don't say I didn't give f'ir warnin'

If you are so sickened and disgusted by us country people, why don't you move back to Philly, I'm sure the big city hasn't been the same since you left, although I get the feeling you were a malcontent there as well. Your contempt for your own our community is patronizing, condescending and insulting. You dismiss everyone in this area as beneath you. We all think we're better than others, that's why He said “love thy neighbor”, not because it sounds nice, but because it's so hard to do.

Actually I was quite content in the real world. Malcontent is a term delusional country people like yourself use because you've been living in a bubble your entire lives. I will be leaving toothless wonders like yourself in my tracks once the property values rise enough to sell our home. Have a nice life.

That's some mighty fine writin' my friend! And Pennsyltucky, pure genius, did you write that? I hear the Phila. Inquirer sports page is in want of an astute an' versatile writer such as yourself. When them housing prices go up and you get your hands on a little money, pack-up up the buggy and head to Philly! Why... I hear tell Eagles fans are some of the most distinguished, sophisticated, and urbane people in the country. I guess one could call an Eagles game the worlds largest Mensa meetin'.
You know, you remind me of an ol' cus I once knew, angry at the world! Hated one more than the next, couldn't stand men, sickened by women. White folk, black folk, Latinos you name it, but his heart grew darkest when he laid his evil eyes upon a “hick” as he was fond of calling them. A life full of loathing, revulsion and contempt for his fellow man. Well... one gentle summer afternoon this ol' fella that I speak of, as we all must do, left this beautiful blue orb that we all share. That's right, he went on to meet his maker, which I'm sure wasn't a pretty sight, what with all the hatin' and carrying on he did while he walked this man's earth. Sorta reminds me of that Scrooge fella, and how he was forced to look back on his life with sorrow and regret. But leave it up to old Charley Dickens to pen some of the most profound words ever written, when he summed up Scrooge's predicament with “ Mankind was my business!”

Eagles Fan, mankind is your business.

Thought I clicked on the Life Lessons 101 forum by mistake for a minute there. Bridge, I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s noticed the 'lessons' you so eloquently invoke can easily be applied to you and your issue here. Maybe this is your way of healing and dealing with your mistake.

You just can't quit with the back-handed compliments, can you Freud? And “your mistake” or “all your fault” what kind of grade school mentality is that? No facts, just point the finger. For someone that thinks their so much better than others you sure have a juvenile way of making your point little Ms.“Get me the hell out of Pennsyltucky”
Google Dr. Kim, first two words are careless and negligent, do you know why she allows that? Most doctors are very protective of their reputation. Well, you're so much smarter than us country folk, figure it out little Ms.“Ew, I think I stepped in horse $hit”
This doctor practically boasted to me that she had a degree from Penn, then sat there like a befuddled fool saying “the receptionist told me to do this”. Genius, you're the dentist, it's your call. She made no assessment, no consultation, not even a basic description of what she was going to do to me, they call that “informed consent”. I literally screamed “why did you drill my teeth down”! Shame on Yooson Kim, shame on the University of Pennsylvania and shame on you, little Ms.“Pe-ew, the Amish smell”.

bridge,
You're getting yourself so worked up that you, of all people, are making egregious punctuation errors. I've read many of your previous posts where you chided people for making such mistakes. So many of your 'lessons' seem to point back to you as the problem. Or, are you one of those people that does no wrong?

As a proper and befitting gentleman, I don't cotton much to criticizin' the fairer sex, that being said, if I may be so bold, I truly feel that I am obliged to suggest a minor edit to the comments of Ms.“been there”, just a few short days ago. A small amendment, an slight alteration, a reworking if you will, of her fine an' thoughtful words.

“Thought I clicked on the Life Lessons 101 forum by mistake for a minute there. Bridge, I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s noticed the 'lessons' you so eloquently invoke can easily be applied to you and your issue here. Maybe this is your way of healing and dealing with Dr. Kim's mistake.”

Why... these may have been some of the truest words ever put to pen.

Edgar
OK we get it, you're a refined country gentleman that likes to show-off his wit, satire and civility, enough already! Most people don't even know or care who Edgar Allen was, didn't you live like a billion years ago? More importantly, people are here to read about Dr. Kim, not your old fashioned values and your long-winded lessons. You want a real horror story, not fiction but fact, a hideous and dreadful event that haunts me to this day. Well, I have a story for you Mr. Windbag! So sit back, grab one of those Earl Grey teas, or whatever it was you old-timers drank back then, and listen up.
Dr. Kim did not even bother to consult with me, she had a receptionist and an ignorant layman determine the course of my dental recovery, while this unconcerned and apathetic doctor remained completely silent. And so when this mistake happened, as it was bound to, this Dr. simply stepped back like Pilate of old and washed her hands of the whole mess, pointing her finger at others! And like Pilate, she accepted no responsibility or culpability for what happened on her watch, in her own office!

Now I ask you Edgar, as a gentleman and a scholar, would you consider these the principals a an ethical and prudent Dr., is this the behavior of a compassionate and noble healthcare worker?

I can't believe I'm actually adding to this mix. It's an unfortunate experience, but honestly, the people that like her are still going to go there and defend her. I agree with bikerchick - move on. Take that energy and focus it on something else. Revenge is never sweet. It takes a toll on the person seeking it.

And most of the people who take the time to read message boards are adults and anybody in their right mind would seek second opinions.

been there, Time to move on, Morgantown Resident, Ellen, Eagles Fan, Whatever!

What a louse you are, constantly hiding your IP address, changing names, playing hide and seek like a child. Stacking the deck in your favor. And now you parody the words of biker chick to give yourself credence. At least I have have the decency to fill out two profiles so you know who you're dealing with. More importantly, I gotta be honest here, you seem to have a bit of a preoccupation with me. I truly believe that even a casual observer would agree that you are obsessed with me and my musings. I went to exactly one other Topix board to respond to your comments, and that was only to compliment you on your wit. But your fixation with me is very telling. You will say anything to cut and hurt, constant personal attacks, nipping at my heels, lashing out in childish anger, your comments reflect much more on you than they do on me. I think I have a little too much of an effect on you. Now, maybe you have a thing for me because of my “eloquence”. your words not mine! If that's the case just say so little Ms.“You toothless wonders can eat my dust.”

Stand back folks, this could get ugly.

When I first came to Topix, you were a whole different person. Like some crazy off the Springer show you were as savage and vicious as you could be. And I became your new target, you weren't much better than an animal, even attacking my parents. But no matter how many times you brutally attacked me, I always behaved like a civilized human being. Through kindness, understanding and gentleness I showed you how to respond like an adult, to keep a civil tongue in your head, to think before you post, turning you into the thoughtful blogger that you are today. I taught you what the ancients knew “A gentle answer turns away wrath.”
And this is how you repay me, by sneaking in here like a thief in the night, under cover of darkness. So that a anybody reading this blog would think that a person named “Time to move on” from Philly was criticizing me and not the same old “been there”. Well you are full of darkness sister, that's for sure! The internet is a dark and hidden world were we are all anonymous, that puts us on the honor system. Of course, people without honor or integrity will take full advantage of that, using it for their own means, creating endless false bloggers to support their cause. And so now you have an army of minions to do battle with your arch enemies, the evil biker chick and bridge2nowhere. Good for you, you figured out how to change your IP address, you're much smarter than we are, in an evil and diabolical way!
