I am hugely opposed to this location.

I guarantee that if Rite-Aid builds here, I will never purchase one item from this store.

There is plenty of space in the areas outlying this very small town. Why not place the drug store in the area that has already been destroyed by Wal-Mart?

Think of it this way, with the hotel gone we will get another alchohol license and may get a decent resturant in here, like a Applebees, TGIF, Outback etc.

I have worked for Rite Aid for 20 years....I am retiring by force in 3 days....I will never ever buy anything from that store ever again...they abuse there employees and they are now trying to get rid of all the employees that have been there for a while to hire younger people so they don't have to pay benefits or higher wages....you can no longer make over $10.00 an hour in that store....once you hit that....thats it....there is never no help and you are lucky to get 30 hrs a week...why would you want a Rite Aid in your area and hire people who will get no rewards out of it....They think all employees are thieves!! Good Luck

I personally think that everyone should mind their own business and not get involved with the situation. Just because the Morgantown Hotel is a ""Historical Site" that doesn't mean anything. If the historical society wants to keep the hotel and the surrounding buildings then they should buy they buildings from the owners for what they were offered for their business. First off the Morgantown Hotel is falling apart and needs to be kept up with, so obviously the owner wants to get rid of it. With time things change an example would be the Walmart which was just recently put in and all the developments around the surrounding area. People need to realize that those houses destroyed a field so what is a rite aid?? Its not that big a deal. People are moving in to Morgantown from cities etc.. and with people moving into this area of course major businesses are going to want to move in.. This town is becoming more like a downingtown every day. So i think people should just get over themselves because most are probably just jealous of that fact of how much the owners are getting for their business. So people need to take this into consideration and keep their noses out of other people business. They shouldn't try and tell the owner what to do with their property because if the chance of selling came upon them you know damn well they would consider it!!

Tired of hearing about it every week, don't the papers have anything else to write about. The property owners have a right to sell their properties to whomever they chose, they have paid the taxes during ownership.
If the opposing people feel it is so important to the wellfare of the community why don't they buy it and restore it.
I look forward to this all coming to an end, so everyone can move on.

We moved from Philly and Morgantown is horrible, there are no decent resturants in the area. I can't wait to see the Hotel go, its a eye sight. I wish a few decent resturants would open so I can get a beer and not worry about my baby being polluted with smoke. People need to wake up in this town and realize its the 21st century.

well they had a whole mall (went under, now a piece of shit furniture store), had a steak house (now a daycare center for new Morgantown residents kids), had other video stores, gone. had a farmers market (best thing in town for YEARS), turned it into a strip mall, now all that is left is a pizza shop, chinese restaurant, and a Goodwill store. Hate to say it, but it seems everyone just likes to think of it as a place to dump their trash,
