The Phillies Roy Halladay pitched only the second playoff no-hitter in Major League Baseball history to give the Phillies a 4-0 victory over Cincinnati last night.

This was the first playoff no-hitter since the Yankees Don Larsen threw the only perfect game in World Series history in 1956.

Halladay was only one walk away from a perfect game himself.

He became the only pitcher in Major League Baseball history to have more hits himself than the entire team that he faced, he had just one.

We all owe a debt of gratitude to the Cincinnati Reds, what an incredible collapse. The Reds committed four errors which led to five unearned runs as they blew a fifth-inning 4-0 lead. They hit three batters, almost in a row, and were unable to turn doubles or even make an above average play. One of the strangest games I have ever seen. The Reds literally looked stunned at the end of that game. Cole Hamels pitches tomorrow night at seven.

My money is on the the Phillies in three.
