Whats the opinion here on these people and groups of people? Not necessarily anything personal but how they operate professionally. Is it corrupt? Is everyone who comes through the jail/court treated fairly or is it all about who you know, your families name, egos and grudges? Is this small town run "mafia style" -they do what they want and nobody can do anything about it? They seem like they are at the top of the food chain here, they are all buddies and they aren't held accountable to anybody but themselves

They don't operate professionally, they are all corrupt, and it is all about your name and who you know. If you are not in the clique and you don't have money you are not going to get a fair shake in this county. Those are the cold hard facts. I am sure their are those who will disagree with me, but they are probably part of the corrupt group and part of the problem. Just my opinion.

It is all about who you know, what your name is and things of the such....and it happens in the entire justice system here in Butler!!

Yes, like STRANGE said, I'm sure some people could get on here and say how awesome these people are but more likely than not they are related or best buddies and they hang out with eachothers families on the fourth of July. Or at the least it's a "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" kind of a deal. Majority rules on this subject and I want to hear from the "commoners". And you all don't sound like a bunch of strung out meth heads who can't put a sentence together correctly. Your input is appreciated!

I have to say that I was really surprised to see this post.! Don't get me wrong this is absolutely true, and quite frankly took a lot of guts to post this. Everyone knows it everyone see it and says it. But no one puts it in black and white. Much less put it on the Internet. All I can say is lmao. Way to go !!!!!!!

"It is not about what you do, but it is very much about who you are"! Tim Coleman, if he were any good would be a big city State Attorney. Most judges are reasonable although Dortch needs removed ASAP. Compared to Kenneth Morris and his regime which was "Mob Like" the BCSD has come a long way!!!!!!!!!! They are doing well at getting on the right track. MPD got rid of Ronnie Burden which again was running "Mob Like" activity and as corrupt as one can get. The MPD has gotten rid of the biggest problems with the exception of one, that being Gidcumb. This town 12 years ago was at least 25 years behind times. Butler county/Morgantown is still not up to speed but attempting to. The old departments both county and city covered up murders, dealt drugs, had a organized crime ring and darn near everything you can think of happened! It is getting a little better we just need to come up to date and get rid of the good old boys and the outdated politicians, judges, State attorney and such. Good luck all, Take care.

They obviously don't investigate their officers anymore. Officer Denny DeWeese has a really hot temper from what I understand! He had to have surgery on his hand after beating one guy and I was there when this next episode happened. He punched his cousin who was like a brother to him growing up! His cousin hit the ground and was taken to the hospital to get stitches. All because Denny was protecting his girlfriend Bitchny who the cousins girlfriend supposedly called Bitchny a 'Bitch' this was before he became an officer I guess but they need to do screens.

COME ON ,BE A MAN.
I AM SORRY BUT IF YOU ARE NOT A CROOK OR AFRAID OF GETTING IN TROUBLE FOR WHAT YOU MAY HAVE DONE,what are you afraid of?
Ask cuzzen Don Baker,he spent 39 minutes in jail for a fight with a cop and then made some money out of it all.
I don't think he has any pull, but i see he walks the street like any free man when he likes.

ps.DRAKES have plenty of sand for sale for (ALL OF YOU) to stick YOUR HEAD in when the SO CALLED KING SCARES YOU.

Now i see what kind of people live in North Korea,,YOU PEOPLE.
Fight for your rights if not you are already dead.

well I don't have a damn thing to hide but I've lived here long enough to know you don't have to be guilty of something to be convicted. I have NEVER been charged with any crime but I have watched how this town works for years, so like I said before you are not going to get facts on here. You don't piss them off or you will be charged with some trumped up bull that will cost you out the butt in court costs and lawyers. So you can walk the streets like don baker. And where else in the world does a cop come to your house and start a fight and you go to jail to start with. Only Morgantown

I guess we could all move to Warren County where you can shoot a man three times, kill him and not spend one night in jail. You can even get a pat on the back and your job in the judicial system back. I wouldn't be surprised if his nick name is Tex now and he got a raise.... Corruption is everywhere. Not just in Butler.

myself and a close friend have been lied about on citations and I was absolutely treated like an animal with absolute bs written on the citation. We're just a number, not a person. I hope they sleep well at night.

Until you can put your name on what you have to say instead of hiding behind a computer keep your drama to yourself. If you have a complaint go to someone who can take care of it instead of making useless and rude statement on this site. If you think you could do a better job apply, until then Don't complain about how the job is done because you have no idea what it is like to be in a police officer or judges position. Be thankful someone is willing to be there for you when you need them! Maybe you should try calling someone other than the police when you or your family is in trouble, if you won't like how the preform their job don't ask them to make sacrifices for you when you need them!

"Respect"
I notice you did not put your name on here. I'd say you are hiding behind your computer. Why? could it be that you are part of the corrupt system? Most of the ones who posted on here have stated that they are afraid of retaliation from people in power and that is why they didn't state their name. As far as being there when you need them, I know of at least 3 occasions when law enforcement was call to incidents and never bothered to show up! And as far as sacrifices. They had a choice when they took the job. We all sacrifice to take care of our families not just law enforcement, they are no better than the people they are suppose to be serving and should not get more respect. Maybe they would be respected more if they treated everyone fairly and showed up when called.

When you need assistance call some else then! and if you have proof someone did not show up then address the problem instead of being a coward about the issue! Some calls take priority if you have a minor incident that can be resolved with a phone call or is not an emergency you might have to wait and not get a response as quickly as you may like emergency calls take priority, just because someone wasnt there at the snap of a finger doesn't mean the issue wasnt taken care of and they did not do their part.
