I worked at Palawopec for five years, and they were the most fulfilling, educational and maturing summers of my life. I owe everything to the people and experiences there.

Camp Palawopec offers a challenging program for boys and girls based on outdoor living. Discovery, physical fitness, self-reliance, practical skills, and knowledge of our great outdoors are the byproducts of a camping experience — and it’s for these reasons we exist, for the sake of the young!

I went to camp for 3 years and it honestly changed my life. The people are amazing and the experience is unforgettable. The grounds are gorgeous and the activities they offer are beyond fun and educational. I will be applying to become a counselor this summer because I miss it so much. It's most definitely life changing. PECKERS FOR LIFE!!!

All the time in the world would not be enough time to write a review that gave this place justice. It has been the most positive experience of my life. I went for three years as a camper and it is my second year on staff. The friends, experiences, trips and lessons I have learned will be in my heart forever. I love camp palawopec! Send your kids here! For the sake of the young!

Camp is my favorite place in the world. I have loved it since the day I got there (which is 6 years ago). Camp is a great place to hike, canoo, horseback ride, play games in the pasture, swim, etc. This is the best place for a kid to be a kid. You need some time to get away from the screens that seem to rule our lives most of the year. Every day I think about camp. The campfire, the evening game, or if im you don't want play capture the flag, sharks and minnows, or ultimate frisbee. Camp has a commissary where you can play chess, ping pong, checkers (with board and pieces made by a camper), or my favorite which is knock out. I am never board at camp Palawopec because everyday there are a boat load of activities you can shoes to do. Commissary games, rock wall, camp marathon, anything you want all you have to do is tell your councilor Sunday night what you want to do and they can get it set up. Camp also takes some out of camp trips to browning mountain, ceder bluff, or my favorite brown county state park/ national Forrest. The best thing about camp is you don't here anything at night but some cicadas, birds, bull frogs, and wood peckers. Unlike some camps camp Palawopec is away from the road and the city so you never hear a car on the street. Over all I want to live at camp Palawopec.

Sorry, one parent's idiocy over a non-issue does not help one decide on whether a camp is good or not.

Palawopec is a highly respected and revered camp by its campers, employees, and former campers and employees.

It is an amazing place for kids to be kids and learn about their natural world.
