What happens if you turn in someone that sells marijuana out of their house and pills to minors to crime stoppers? What if they're on probation and you call the probation office? will the police actually do anything about it? just curious...

One would certainly like to think so.

Generally the police will put the house under surveillance for a while. Anywhere from a few days... to a few months.

If the surveillance yields any results (and sometimes even if it doesn't) the swat team will raid the house, shoot any animals int he house with lethal ammunition, scare the shit out of any children in the vicinity... and search the house for said drugs..... usually planting drugs if they don't find any.
whats up with that

Well it looks like the Jones clan has found their next victim to snitch on their dope dealer must have shorted them a few grams on a bag or wouldn't let them have it on credit.

I'm not affiliated with anyone or any families mentioned in this thread. That's just... pretty much what happens. Just giving you the info you asked for.

It's really not a good idea to snitch on people unless you know FOR SURE they are doing something REALLY bad. People's lives get ruined because of stuff like that.

I've been telling them for yrs. about the crackheads and the dealers which happen to be my neighbors...I have small children and can't stand them seeing all the junk that goes on around here..on Thursdays and Fridays it's like a drive thur at thier house. It still happens and I have never seen anything happen to them yet, I guess they will eventually OD or killed by someone they've screwed or something. If they break into my house again I may be the one going to jail. I'd be sure like CDC said before snitching though and if you do snitch expect trouble, I do I'm armed at all times..but really it's probally not going to do you any good, it may be more trouble for you than it's worth for real!

I had a crack dealer move in across the street from me for about six months. I used to be hooked on it so I don't think anyone hates it more than I do. I didn't snitch them out, but I let the drug dealer's landlord know that they were cooking it up in their rental house.

Well... I guess I did indirectly snitch them out. Good riddance to those scumbags! They didn't sell to kids, but there were people coming and going all hours of the day and night. And the odor was really strong when they were cooking it up. They sold meth and crack I believe. Very dangereous business... will destroy a house in no time at all.

When you call "crime stoppers" your not anonymous unless you use a pay phone. They still record your voice, so its always available for those who want it and have the connections to get it.
Contrary to what CDC said, they will not do anything unless its a tip on a murderer, or raspiest ect. They could care less your calling about a drug dealer.
Then, you become the "narc". Do you know what happens to narcs? Allot worse then what happens to the actual criminal. Narcs cant hide behind a lawyer and the loop holes in the criminal system. Narcs are free game. Narcs are scum - RATS. I hate a fu*king rat.
No, im not a drug dealer. I do not advocate dealing drugs. I do not condone it. I just hate a narc. Its law enforcement job to catch drug dealers. They will not do a damn thing from a "crime stoppers tip" drug call. Trust me, my neighbor is the queen of calling crime stoppers yet the dude across from us sells his crack like he is running a Walgreens pharmacy. She even called and offered to let the police set up surveillance in her house. Guess who showed up? The friggin crack dealer! Someone told him she called the police. Hahaha. Crime stoppers is only useful for bigger crimes like murders, rapist, missing children ect. Narcotic cops have so many drug dealers to chase around they are not going to take time to check out an anonymous tip. If you called and actually gave them your name and your problem then they take you more serious. Anyone can call crime stoppers and tell them Padro Poppieseed is selling crack just because they caught Padro nailing their spouse. Giving them your personal info makes them take your threat more serious. Offering to help is even better. Still, like my neighbor they probably wont even check it out UNLESS allot of people call about the same person.
Do you know that even with all the technology they have, all the satellites, cameras, spy equipment ect that they have .... 85% of criminals end up telling on their self. This is how it works when it comes to drugs.... someone he sells to gets busted, and in turn for a lighter sentence (big lie to get you to RAT on your dealer) the dude lets them wire him up and go make a buy. Then they nail have the dealer. Then they do the same thing to the guy they catch, always going for the bigger fish. If you want them caught then just call in the tag number (lie and tell them they are drunk or just pointed a gun at you) of someone you see buying from him. If they get nailed with their stash, they will more then likely roll on your problem (the dealer you called crime stoppers about).
Murderers and rapist and other criminals always fall for the "we already have you so just admit it" interrogation bullsh*t. "Hey man, your wife already admitted you did it, and your best friend gave us the murder weapon" ... lie lie lie lie lie ... then "we can make it allot easier in court with your sentence if you just admit you did it". Guess what? If they already "have" you... then they do not need a confession. They could care less. If they have circumstantial evidence then you breaking and giving in is what they pray and count on, other wise your going to walk and they know it.
See... its completely legal for police to LIE like hell to get what they need out of you, but when you lie back it adds another charge onto what they are trying to nail you with already.

u may be right under some circumstances but blanket statements dont actually cover all realities.

My weed dealer, a few short yrs ago, in winston salem, had his house and cars and property searched after a neighbor called crimestoppers to tell on him for the weed. So, it can happen, sometimes, altho Im sure it doesnt always work.

If the poster lives in a school zone, make sure u mention that in the narc call, its bound to help....stiff penalties for that.

I do agree that the buyers will narc on the dealers if caught. But, if I was a narc and took that route, I'd be sure and mention that something month old baby in the car seat in the back of that car and the 5 yr old in the front seat. lol

But honestly, if they arent making meth and selling the hard drugs that drive ppl crazy, Idk why ppl worry about it so much? cuz they dont like traffic?
wtf are u ever gonna go and not have, or at least, hear traffic? lol

How do you know your was searched because a neighbor called crime stoppers? Did crime stoppers tell him that? Did the police tell him that? Was it in his discovery if he was arrested?
Also, just because a neighbor calls crime stoppers doesnt give the cops a right to do SHIT except investigate. They can NOT search your house without a search warrant, or you consent to search.
His neighbor calling crime stoppers is NO WHERE NEAR enough to pull off a judge signing a search warrant.
Im just curious to know, what makes your dealer think his bust had anything to do with crime stoppers? You do know police will tell you the "tip" came from crime stoppers just to cover up who their informant is right?

the call came from crimestoppers and apparently he was allowed to listen to it.
they did search his home, property and belongings and Im pretty sure he didnt have permission.

we can argue about it all day ;long if u want to....it is what it is....circumstances vary and shit sometimes happens. believe it/accept it or not.

ppl get in trouble and get caught all the time from narcs...nothing new.

No arguments from me man. Who am i to say what happened ya know?
I have never heard of anybody ever getting to listen to a crime stoppers call. Thats kind of a given i would think. Crime stoppers is based on anonymity. Letting the person who gets nabbed listen to who ratted them out kind of kills the entire point of the program. Hey, maybe thats true. Who knows. Cops are stupid, so maybe his circumstance was just a part of a very stupid cop.
Anyhow, i agree... people get caught all the time from narcs, its basis of how drug busts are conducted.... buyers narcing out the sellers, and on up the line.
I didnt intend for you to think i was arguing or doubting you. Sorry if you took my reply the wrong way. Its interesting to say the least.
