Oh lord the CCSO is actually doing something to get in the paper for once that doesn't involve scandal... shocker. I guess the drug dealers of the county better keep a low profile now that Jones is running for election again, either that or up the cut to the narc officers, you know campaign contributions an all.

Jones was quoted in the article as saying, "authorities began getting complaints from residents about 10 months ago about the sale of marijuana and prescription pills in the area"
It only took you 10 months this time LOL.

He went on to say,“We have recognized this area to be a concern for drug activity, and we are diligently addressing the problems,”
Really you think its been a problem? You dont say. Lets see how long has it been a high drug area, oh lets say only 30 years or so but good going sparky, way to get right on that.

I heard they were in the same area today doing checks of cars on summer way. If so i think that is great, however that is not even a state road. it is a private drive, can they really do this without having a reason? Just wondering.

Well if you know anything about ccso narcs or the sheriff then you know why they dont bust the big meth house up the road or anywhere else. Those big operations can afford to pay their cut to stay in business. The sheriffs office narcs and detectives are some of the most crooked cops I've seen outside a large city like Atlanta. All they want is to pop some small fish, less paper work, looks good in the paper and they cant pay to play anyways so who cares. The more you know, ya know. Oh and yeah everyone knows about the DSS chick, she and a few others play with ccso. Check the parking lot at night lmao.

I bet if they busted the meth house the county would have to pay for the clean up. They probably could not afford that. BTW, who is sick and dying on SCreek?

If the cops would stop worrying about all the lil drug dealers and worry about these big ones that kill people with the dope that they sell. Then maybe they wouldn't have issuess. It ridiculouss, the people over in those parks aint tryin to get rich sellin drugs, they just tryin to stay up. They are just doing what the economy can't do and that is giving some people money. They trying to feed their kids and keep a roof over their heads.

Have you ever heard of Doctors without Borders? A month ago there was a free clinic that came to Lenoir. They asked you to sign in but if you didn't they didn't make a fuss over it. They didn't ask for ID either. Just gave everyone a free physical and if they needed medicine they gave them an offer to provide the drugs they needed through the free offers of the drug companies. You know, diabetes stuff, high blood pressure, stuff, things like that. Unfortunately only about 60 people showed up. There was room for 150 people, but the people that did come were made welcome and helped. Everyone who came got a free gift, too. A blanket, or a backpack, or some sort of toy for the kids. There was free food and drinks, too. There were 2 social workers, not from here though. I bet they would have worked from people in their area to get firewood and food. There is all kinds of wood down already that most people who own the land would probably give to someone to just cut it up and clean up the land. Is anyone there able to chain saw and haul wood? Or make a garden in the summer? I bet the kids and teenagers would like to grow stuff. It would empower them.

There is a Smokey Creek BBQ in that area but what/where they are talking about is a trailer park on the Smokey Creek Road. I don't that the BBQ place has any problem or causes any problems to anyone.

Personally, I think marijuana should be legalized. I don't smoke but I've never heard of anyone killing someone after they smoked it. BUT it is illegal. What is wrong with you people, Drugs are deadly, almost everyone everywhere are struggling financially. What do we do, pick and chose the laws we want to obey? These drugs that are out there today are killing people and the ones selling them know that. Say what you want , but it's a bunch of Parasites that live off of the weaknesses of others. If don't want to go to jail then Don't sell drugs. Obey the Laws!!!! I can't really see where the kids and other familys are benefiting from the drugs that are sold. Most don't give a crap about their kids or family. How do you think your family feels when you get locked up. Most are too lazy to work, there's a lot on Smokey Creek that are just to dang lazy, if they would tell the truth. So get off your butts and find some kind of a job until you can do better. Makala you should be out of school by now, so why aren't you working? I hope you don't have a bunch of kids by 6 or 8 different men , then expect the tax payers to keep all of you up. Most the drug dealers sleep til after lunch and stay up all night. There's a 3rd shift out there somewhere that will hire you. Get off your butts!!!Sure there's some sick people on Smokey Creek and some would do well to throw their drug doing familys out. You probably could afford to live if you would let them get on their own two feet. They ain't babies, what are people teaching their lazy familys. and why do some think they should take care of their worthless kids forever. There's places out there that will help the poor and disabled but they won't keep up their sorry families. Wake up People the laws the law, we have to obey them or suffer the consequences!!

I guess you are right. Notice none of the sick and dying folks or their families were interested in Doctor's without Borders Free Clinics. Yes, they arrange for meds, but not stupid street drugs. I had surgery awhile back and was given oxy and perciset. Can't say they are anything to get excited about as far as getting high. I took 8 to 12 a day and nothing. Hell, Nyquil gave more of a buzz that that stuff. I guess the people are taking a handfull to get high and by the time they get enough to get high they are overdosed. Why do they need to get high anyhow? When you get caught you're caught. Someone lost a lot of street dope in this bust. Wonder what the supplier is thinking now?

instead of people just coming on here bitching and instead of the cops running in on people that are actually good people like they just found a mafia leader why doesn't this county try to help people that have criminal past and are trying to get their lives straight. just because a person does or sells drugs does not mean they are bad people. actually every person in one serious injury away from most likely getting addicted to a drug that their doctor tells them is completely fine. and if they happened their are few that wouldn't do whatever they had to feed their kids or elderly parents if something like that happened. I don't think we need to give out hand outs but how about some kind of program at the jail to help find jobs or maybe some counseling if needed. this county offers no assistance to help people better themselves but than cant understand why the same people keep getting in trouble.
and just fyi these two women did not even use most of the drugs they were charged with. they might have smoked a little weed but that's it and hell so do most of the judges lawyers cops and doctors.
I think educating those convicted and this community are better answers and condemnation

the doctors without borders program sounds great and I am sure some would take advantage of it if they knew about it. where was it advertised? was it advertised at the jail or at celebrate recovery or the local aa/na meetings? no probably not cause you don't want to even think about those places till you read something in the news or on here and decide you have all the answers. But those places probably need the knowledge the most!

It was on all the Lenoir radio stations for a week and a half before. It was NOT a part of Helping Hands. There were ads up in all the Post Offices and the grocery stores that had bulletin boards. It was not a place that cared who you were, whether you were a good citizen or even a citizen as far as that went. It is a group that believes that people that need medical help can get help without money. How does someone get in touch with NA/AA or celebrate recovery? I think the job market has tried to help excons and some did get into the habit of work. But so many just tried to use others to get money or things to sell so they can get the money for their next high. But even those people would be eligible for help. It isn't safe for people to be sick because their sickness hurts others. I can get in touch with DWB and pass along this info. Would any of these groups have a place like a church or school that was large enough to have at least 5 or 6 examining rooms, a couple of bathrooms, and to set up a lab? It might be possible there would be a DBA for these people. It is a sickness and a lifestyle that can be passed from generation to generation and it can be cured "if" someone make a break in the system they live by and the company they keep.
