Have you ever camped at Green Mountain Park? Is it still a good campground? I know you have to buy a membership but just wondering if it's worth it?

Lots of people are trying to get rid of their memberships because they can't affort the maintenance fees. Before you go and buy one from GMP,you might get yourself a bargain by taking over someone elses membership and escaping those monthly payments. Look in the IWanna and papers like that for deals on GMP memberships.

Green Mt. is a good place. We are members and have alot of fun there. If you buy someones membership you still have the mantinence fees. They are affordable and worth it.The park was full last weekend for Memorial Day and all seemed to be having a blast. No one I know is trying to get out of membership.

Green Mtn is a great place! I was also there last weekend and we all had a blast! They have 2 pools, 2 minature golf courses , golf course, store, entertainment( live band) most Saturday nights, several fishing ponds and one huge pond. It is a alot of fun! We have been members for several years now and it's worth the money. It isn't very expensive. Check it out!

At Green Mtn you can rent a place to stay whereas Mortimer and Boone's Fork do not offer. Green Mtn has more entertainment...pool, dances, paddle boats, etc. At Boone's Fork and Mortimer it is roughing it in the great outdoors with fishing, hiking, etc. Which you prefer depends upon the person and their likes and dislikes. I have been to all 3 and have enjoyed them all. Mortimer and Boone's Fork of course are the cheapest.

IT's not that people try to get out of their memberships, but in hard times, with gas being as it is a RV is pretty expensive to drive around. Also, people retire and get too old to use their membership and have no one else to pass it onto so they ask maybe $1000 and for someone to transfer it into their name and continue paying the fees.

Best place to relax. People are friendly including the staff. I love the sound of the brook running beside the motor home. For those who said don't waste your time good leaves more space for those of us who know how to relax and enjoy nature and meeting other rvers.

There is now a one year membership available at Green Mountain. It is $2000 for one year. You can leave your camper for 2 weeks then remove for 1 week. This cost includes everything except cable tv. I enjoy camping there it is very relaxing! My kids seem to really enjoy it as well!

Did you find a membership? We have a Green Mt. membership we are going to sell. My father-in-law bought it approx. 20 years ago, but he has passed away and we don't use it anymore. I am really not sure what level membership it is, but we are obtaining a copy of the contract, then we will know more details. I do know our membership allowed us to use a similar park near Orlando Florida. If anyone is interested you can email me at [email protected] Thanks!

I actually like Greene Mountain Park alot. Boone fork just doesn't have anything to do besides sit there, so it gets kind of boring. G.M has an arcade, pond, mess-hall, stores. So if you have kids & a high maintenance wife, then GO GREEN! If your really into outdoors then Boone Fork.

I am a gmp member. I grew up enjoying family vacations at the campground, but recently recieved terrible customer service. I had requested a cabin on the water and when we got there they told me the reservation co. did not submit the request. They would not move us, said there were no cabins available when there clearly where the whole weekend, and even set down the phone and called me a b*tch when I asked if I could leave my number for the manager. I would recommend somewhere with better customer service anyday.
