It still looks like crap. It is a nightmare to drive downtown because of all the planters and crazy traffic patterns. I guess the planners must have been drunk at Mel's Diner when they drew up the plans.

i thought morganton sucked too, until i moved somewhere else for a year and realized how much i missed home. i think it's great what they've done. yeah, it's still smalltown USA, but it's a great improvement from 10 years ago. i agree the traffic patterns downtown are confusing if you're not used to them, but that's true in a lot of places.

Ah BOO Boo baby. Got home sick did you? People are tiring to escape this Hillbilly town but can't because they can't sell their homes. Now Melvin wants to raise the utility rates even more. The CO had a piece in yesterdays paper that stated the budget crisis was over for most places yet Melvin is still gouging gouging gouging.

Oh, you're so mature. Yes, I did get homesick. And I don't own my home, so that doesn't affect me. If people want to leave, and can't because they can't sell their homes, "Ah BOO Boo baby," that has nothing to do with Main Street receiving national accreditation.
