It WOULD HAVE been covered 100% for 3 years by the FEDERAL government with OUR tax money that WE have ALREADY sent in. So the republiKan general assembly refused to allow OUR NC money to come back into OUR state. I know you rabidly support republiKans , but how do you figure that was a smart move?

TSF, need I remind you this was not a republikan you whine about from N.C. but a demokrat who you seem to think is above reproach. Again, whose numbers are correct? Forget being on the same page, you guys aren't even in the same book with your figures. Plus you never addressed the 400 million dollar Medicaid overrun. You're the numbers person, but my mediocre math vs yours tells me if the state couldn't handle those currently on Medicaid with such a huge overrun and Medicaid is expanded, how in the world could this expansion be covered.

The republiKan leader and choice for president, Twitt Romney , calls the aborted fetus "medical waste " and burns them for a huge profit in his medical waste incinerator.. My attacks on republikans are not endorsements of democrats, but I have to say that democrats are not the only ones supporting abortion, which coincidentally, I vehemently oppose.

If we can't afford the overrun now, how in the hell are we going to afford those cost plus interest?
I say kudos to the Gov for having the balls to stand up to the Feds in defense of NC's taxpayers! Why should my taxes be taken to pay for Medicaid when those in need will be covered by my taxes through Obamacare?
Pro, I actually knew that but left it out to see if that would be addressed. It sounds good to say that the federal govt was going to pay for three years and leave out the pay back with interest part; however, in a state where Medicaid is so mishandled and is WAY over budget it's a recipe for financial disaster.

Teaching the children that one should not just passively let a group of legislative bullies repeatedly abuse, demean and welch on contracts is an important lesson. I would like to see a real union sweep through NC like a dose of Epsom salts. Then the shit would hit the fan. It has always puzzeled my as to why NC teachers are such a passive lot.

Teach the children it's ok break the law, that's real responsible! I hope every one of them get arrested!

You must have been posting while I was posting to you. Did you read Pro's post. We would have to pay the money back with interest. If we can't pay the current cost of Medicaid with huge overruns, how will we pay expansion of Medicaid, basically a loan to the government with interest and even larger overruns.

TSF, you're going to get hoodooed anyway you look at it. For that I have no answer. Yes, you would have gotten your insurance free for 3 years. All the while the even more debt is piling up. You tell me the answer. I kind of equate this to those commercials on tv for interest free or no payments at all on furniture, cars, etc for the first 1-2 years. You still gonna have to pay that interest on those loans, so you're not saving anything UNLESS you're able to save the whole amount you would owe and payment off at the end of the 1-2 years. That's not the way a government should be run or home finances for that matter. My point of view may sound rabidly republican to you, but I don't run my home finances based off the state or federal govt's handling of a basically nonexistent budget because it should be very clear and cogent it would be an epic financial failure. I run my household on a budget. Something the POTUS or anyone in government has slim to no knowledge about and it looks like slim's about to leave town. This country is going financially bankrupt.

TSF, you just acting silly now. Why would anyone think it's good to teach children of any age insubordination? Having temper tantrums most times ends up getting your ass whipped or at least it did at my house. Better teach them to carry an ass whipping for their cause. Why not teach them they can vote and make a change not make asses of themselves or be arrested?

Oh yes, let's give unions control of the country, they did a fine job with GM (sarcasm). Maybe we should use their handling of GM as a prototype of how the union bosses will keep their money, and you'll receive pennies on the dollar on your retirement and the federal government will bail you out and you'll still be hoodwinked. You're right caca would hit the fan, you ready for the blow back you'll get in your face with unions.

You and I have gone back and fourth about public schools. I think the public schools are doing a fine job teaching academics to those who want it. You think not. The one area of instruction given by public schools that I do not like is teaching children not to fight back against injustice. There is a fine line between teaching respect for authority and teaching total submission . Commanding respect is a lot different from demanding respect. A child need to be able to recognize the difference.

"As the nation focuses on the many issues dogging the ObamaCare website, the Washington Post points out another big Affordable Care Act headache: The health co-ops—nonprofit insurance companies established by Congress to increase competition and lower insurance costs—are floundering. One has shut down entirely and at least 10 more are in trouble; just 24 have even started selling insurance on the exchanges. Their failure could be a big problem for taxpayers, with the Post projecting the co-ops could default on up to $1 billion in loans. The problem: Facing opposition from insurance industry lobbyists, Congress put all sorts of restrictions on the co-ops, among them tight loan repayment schedules, limitations on selling insurance to big companies, and a ban on using federal money for marketing purposes. Plus, funding was cut big-time. Oh, and those website problems? Those are also hurting co-ops, which depend on the new health care exchanges for business." You just can't make this stuff up, it just gets better and better.

You would think public school are good. We rank 18th out of 36 industrial countries. And we have the 3rd highest dropout rate. Yep! Government owned schools are doing just fine ensuring the children recognize they are property of the state and they should respect that fact.

Oh, so it's ok to teach this propoganda when your talking on a state level that's controlled by Republicans but when the Commucrats that control Congress are doing the exact same thing to ALL Americans and it's the TEA Party that tries to envoke the same lesson, they're demonized and crucified for it!
Sounds contradicting to me!
News Flash: NC is a right to work state
Yeah, let the unions in, then they'll REALLY get some work done. You've got to be kidding me!
Again, even the so called great Commucrat FDR was totally against govt unions!

Just read where the French are now up in arms over the Tyrant and the NSA spying on French citizens! They, France, are now joining a growing list of countries including Germany, Brazil, and Mexico that are demanding explanations from the Tyrant concerning the U.S. spying on their private citizens!
It's bad enough that he spies on his own citizens but spying on citizens from other countries IN their respective countries!?
The audacity of some people!

Typical communist minded thinking. Unions stated with the printers union that was being supported by Karl Mark’s committee he sent to the US, around 1848. Horace Greeley, Charles Dana were a couple of the organizers. Dana studied under Marks in Europe and layer become Assistant Secretary of War for Lincoln. The ideology of communist has been pushed on our children since Lincoln’s time.
From 1852 to 1861, Marx was one of the main writers for the New York Daily Tribune the same paper Dana worked for.
