I agree that the republikans WERE giving Putin their admiration and support. Putin came up with the disarmament deal for Syria because he thought Obama might just order the US military to strike without congressional support. The republikans thought Obama was going left so that set up their opposition constantly belly aching that Obama was doing nothing in Syria.. Then Obama went right and so the republikans moved their opposition and became suddenly antiwar, which is what Obama wanted to start with. I have always admired effective reverse plays. Then Putin put a foot in the republikans asses by opening up the middle and making himself out the hero. The USA wins, war is averted, lives and money are saved. So what are the republican lamentations now?

– Sometimes, archaeologists discover a sweater; other times, they uncover entire towns. The latter turns out to be the case in Israel, where a town has been found—and it could be one mentioned in a well-known Bible story. LiveScience reports that it was found along the northwest side of the Sea of Galilee, and British archaeologists suggest that it is Dalmanutha, a place that factors into the Gospel of Mark's recounting of Jesus feeding a great crowd of people with just a few fish and loaves of bread: Dalmanutha is where he briefly sailed after that miracle.

The archaeologists made their discovery during a field survey, and team lead Ken Dark theorizes it is indeed Dalmanutha, and one reason he gives is that artifacts collected there indicate it was an active city at the start of the Common Era. In a June lecture Dark gave at the University of Edinburgh, he further explained his thought process, as summarized on the blog of the Centre for the Study of Christian Origins: "It is hard to imagine that a Roman-period coastal community of this size is nowhere mentioned in textual sources, and the site might be identified with one of the unlocated toponyms known from the Bible, perhaps the Dalmanutha of Mark 8:10." (In other news in the region, archaeologists recently found a treasure trove in Jerusalem.) Sorry, but I could not help but think about Duquette, a past poster. Where are ya Mikie?

"Reaping Profit After Assisting on Health Law" "Dr. Dora Hughes, for example, has a medical degree from Vanderbilt and a master’s in public health from Harvard and never envisioned joining a law firm. But Dr. Hughes, a former Obama administration official, has something Washington lawyers and lobbying shops covet: an insider’s understanding of the new health care law.

After nearly four years as counselor to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, she left government last year to work for Sidley Austin, which represents insurers, pharmaceutical companies, device makers and others affected by the law. She is not a registered lobbyist, but rather a “strategic adviser,” although some call that a distinction without a difference". Back door Democrat move. "strategic" right.

President Obama July, 22, 2009:
“So part of what we want to do is to free doctors, patients, hospitals to make decisions based on what's best for patient care -- and that's the whole idea behind Mayo, that's the whole idea behind the Cleveland Clinic. I'm going to be visiting your hometown tomorrow to go to the Cleveland Clinic to show -- to show why their system works so well. And part of the reason it works well is because they've set up a system where patient care is the number-one concern, not bureaucracy, what forms have to be filled out, what do we get reimbursed for. Those are changes that I think the American people want to see.”
REMEMBER THAT????? "CLEVELAND– Cleveland Clinic, Northeast Ohio’s largest employer, announced that it plans to make big budget cuts.

The Clinic employs 43,000 people worldwide, about 39,000 here in Northeast Ohio.

Cleveland Clinic plans to trim $330 million from its budget in 2014. CEO and President, Dr. Toby Cosgrove, addressed employees during a meeting, Wednesday morning.

“It absolutely concerns me. Everybody wants to keep their job and we want to do the best that we can do, but it’s a new era and we don’t know what to expect. But I believe the administration is just trying to prepare for whatever could happen and make sure that we’re strong,” said Cleveland Clinic employee Joanne Lyons.

A Cleveland Clinic spokeswoman told FOX 8 that the move is in response to healthcare reform laws.

She said the hospital expects to receive less in reimbursements and expects some patients to pay more, which means the hospital needs to more affordable and efficient.

A statement from the Cleveland Clinic reads:

"To prepare for healthcare reform, Cleveland Clinic is transforming the way care is delivered to patients. Over the past several years, we have had an ongoing focus on driving efficiencies, lowering costs, reducing duplication in services and enhancing quality to make healthcare affordable to patients.
Although we have made progress, we need to further reduce costs to the organization by $330 million in 2014. We are carefully evaluating all aspects of our system to accomplish this. Some of the initiatives include offering early retirement to 3,000 eligible employees, reducing operational costs, stricter review of filling vacant positions, and lastly workforce reductions."

"Through these changing times, we are focused on providing the highest quality of care to our patients in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.” More unemployed, thanks Obamacare.

You might want to visit your bank in the next few days and withdraw some cash to carry you over the next few months. Ideological crazies of the republican right ,party of stupid, plan to shut down the government in just 11 days. Social security checks and deposits as well as pay to military and their families will most likely NOT be made. Just in case the economy spins totally out of control, you might want some food and barter items. Better stock up on beans, bullets and bibles.

The RODS malady (republican Obama derangement syndrome) has spread from NC into Virginia. Republikans in Va want to pass a law to require any woman who has a miscarriage to report that to the police within 24 hours so that the police can investigate her miscarriage. Also be warned that Va republikans think that yoga leads to Satanism. Strange place, Virginia. almost as strange as NC

She received, under current Virginia law, a 30-day suspended jail sentence and a year of probation. Press reports say she also underwent considerable counseling." That was pathetic even for you TSF.

This is just outrageous, 74,6 billion dollars per year. Does that include the 30 billion per year in cash payouts to farmers or is that just another drop in the bucket? Then there is the 195 billion dollars in crop insurance and commodities supports. Maybe we should just totally end the farm bill and stop ALL welfare the the rich mega corporate farmers as well as to the poor children. Darn, Dang, what do you think?

Then apparently, Obenshain's INTENTIONS were considerably different from the actual text of the law. The actual text is what becomes law. But who would expect a republican to understand that, even if he has a law degree?
