It's almost hard to fathom your line of thinking but I imagine it has something to do with your education level which lends to the reason you're in the situation you find yourself today. You obviously know nothing of the present day economic situation facing this nation or just how close you came and presently are to seeing "the gravy train" derail any month or year now. You are just another sheep ready for the slaughter when it all falls apart. Keep telling yourself the Government will always be there I on the other hand am fully prepared if it isn't.

You not anyone else will be the downfall of this nation just from your attitude alone. You actually think anyone would be jealous of someone on food stamps as if its something to be proud of, absolutely disgusting. You have no pride in yourself and you think the world owes you something because you are poor. Being poor however is a badge of pride for people like you, you like to set around and complain about "the rich" and those that have more than you when in all reality they went out and did what they needed to do to get rich while dicked off in school and just gave up. Its all just another "us against them" line of BS. You want someone to feel sorry for you.

If you actually think you are entitled to them then bless your poor little heart because one day you will find out when the well runs dry. This country guarantees Life, Liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness... key word there is pursuit. It doesn't guarantee happiness but it makes damn sure everyone is born with the same opportunity, if you blow it well that's on you and not for me or anyone else to have to come in and clean your mess up.

If you actually did need and deserve food stamps then you wouldn't be here running your jaw (fingers) defending everyone on them. People that actually have a need for them dont defend the ones that dont, they hate them too. You know home internet service and yes your IP is coming from a home service... isn't cheap so seems like you could put that towards food.

Tell you what State why dont you get off the web and do something about it. I am sure there is a soup kitchen where you live, I am sure they need volunteers and weekly grocery donations. Tell you what, every time you buy your groceries you go out and give a random stranger 10% of them just as a minimum, do the same with your paycheck.

What you cant read or comprehend? A recurring theme this whole debate is about people who ABUSE the system which is high, the system is broken and people seem to think its there to use as much as possible and there will never be repercussions for abusing it.

Dont start your God judge this and that and Karma this blah blah blah. First off I've been broke and out of work, took me four months to get another job and never once did I use EBT. I had a child that I refused to get welfare insurance on. I paid for a policy for my child and went without health insurance. I cut my cable, my cell phone and I ate raman noodles and old MRE's while I shopped conservatively for my child, cooked all my meals, grew a small garden, learned to can and save food. I might have had two pennies at the end of the week but my child ate well and i managed to pay the light bill and house payment so stfu.

What these liberal morons dont understand is if they cut out all the people abusing the system they would have a ton of money to help more people that actually need it.

That is true back in the day you could pay all those bills off $50 a week, but people need to realize time has changed. Prices on everything has raised including electricty, water, grocierys, and rent. Even with $100 today you walk in the store and walk out with just a few bags. I live and breath clearance and off brand items, but I still struggle. Its not gonna get any easier only worse...But yes people do need to learn how to divy and stretch food..it can help out alot. I dont understand why everyone complains about the food you get off EBT...saying buy only healthy food and organic. It cost way more money to buy that stuff than fast simple meals or even drive thru...so for low income people what are they to do spend all their foodstamps on lettuce and fish...that wont go to far nor fill anyone up and use stamps way to fast.

No need for the rant. Not everybody is downing people on food
stamps. Sometimes a person has no choice. The issue is posers turning food stamps into a luxury eating experience and a life time career. My parents raised 5 of us kids on one 40 hour a week pay check that was never over $4.80 an hour. I remember being a little kid and my daddy having to quit work because he was sick, and then mama had to go back to work and take his place as bread winner-and trust me, he didn't like that at all. She brought home $50 a week, paid a house payment, lights, phone, car, insurance, paid for me and my sister to have lunch at school and bought groceries out of that $50 a week. We ate a lot of potatoes, pintos and cornbread, but at least we ate. I am thankful that I had the experience of doing without, because it taught me to appreciate what I did have when I got anything extra. I also learned not to expect anything from anybody just because of being hard up. When you live like that, you learn to be grateful.

Tell you what, difference, my civic club works with the food bank and we contibute food (that members contribute canned food) and money, and also support the school back pack program that students take home on the weekend to curb hunger. We also make sure that every child eats at school. I would hope to do more if I could. Is that enough for you? What do you do? And don't avoid my question.

Somebody got something twisted there-I said five of us were raised on one 40 hour a week income that never got over $4.80 an hour. Now where you got it being easy to pay all the things that I listed on $50 a week and raise kids, I have no idea.

So it's more economical to roll through McD's, buy a poke full of 99 cent double cheese burgers for $10? That same money could buy a bag of rice, a bag of beans, fresh collard greens, a cabbage head, a can of spam, a small bag of corn meal and an onion-all of the stuff I just listed as a total would be around $10 give or take and there would be several meals in it. I guess people don't know how to cook, aren't willing to learn, and find it more convenient to eat from questionable sources. Think fast food is good for you in any way, shape or form? I remember being a teen working in a burger joint, seeing grill cooks drop food on the floor, pick it up, deep fry it or grill it and go right on. That's what you want to eat?

State I could set here and say anything I wanted to but does that make it true, such is the internet world we live in today. I have indeed volunteered my entire adult life and starting as a teenager here and abroad. I have spent my entire life in public service working off and on in the private sector but for the most part dealing with the public because I enjoy fighting for those that can not or are afraid to do it themselves. Its this same service to the public that has in the process exposed me to the wolves lurking in the few innocent sheep. This experience has ironically hardened me towards the abusers and exploiters. It has kindled my hatred for them ... kindled it into a free burning conflagration.

I feel the same for the ignorant liberal who still thinks these wolves are innocent and the world is filled with rainbows and sunshine. Most are fresh out of college and have been indoctrinated with some sort of I am going to change the world attitude and that the poor have no responsibility for their own actions, its all someone else's fault they are in the predicament they are in. Most of these wide eyed college liberals have never seen real devastation, war, death on a massive scale, true famine or really poor people who had no chance to ever start with. They've never witnessed friends killed by people they were just trying to help.

I find it rather hilarious to be called rich and insensitive by clowns that have no idea what I have seen, experienced or still live with. I've been poor as dirt and for that matter am just middle class now but I continue to dedicate myself to the good of mankind in any way possible but the main thing is I try to be a responsible human and citizen, I take responsibility for my mistakes in life and hold no one but myself accountable. I guess I have a hard time understanding how others cant do the same. No one gave me shit and never will, this world is dog eat dog. If everyone is taking and not trying to fix the problem it doesn't take a genius to figure out where that will end up, trust me I've see the places where it was like that, we can end up like that too.

Now I hopefully answered you to the best of my ability, good enough?

That's exactly right. It would seem that a lot of people just want what they want plain and simple. They dont want to cook or make meals that last several days, they want to get some frozen heat em up eat em up meals and pop them in the microwave. These things are not even good for you even if you have the money to afford them. Maybe they should start teaching home economics in school again so they can learn to cook, oh wait the liberals thought that was sexiest to teach girls to cook and sow. Funny thing is I took it in middle school just because they were lots of girls in there lol but I learned to cook and sow so hey it was a two for one deal, served me well then and now lol.

I am serious I have stood and watched at the store with people using EBT, 95% of the time its a cart full of name brand items like candy, snack cakes, name brand soda (they dont even buy the store brand that's always on sale), name brand cereal (I used to fool my kid by buying generic and putting it in an old name brand box), lots of frozen dinners and other crap that isn't even good for you. A bag of rice, beans and flour can go a long long way to feed little hungry mouths on the cheap IF you know how to cook or not to lazy to do it. They cant say you dont have time, they dont work so what the hell else is taking up their time, know what I mean...

Hey I agree with you on the organic, its way overpriced and not really worth it unless you have lots of money and I for one dont. If you are doing all you say about smart shopping with your EBT then my hats off to you and I will say thanks for doing your part. I have no problem and never will with anyone using it responsibly as it was intended. If God forbid I had no other option I would use it the same way so I appreciate anyone doing what they can to make it last each month and get the most for the tax dollar. That's what its there for.
