I purchased a great puppy, got a health warranty and papers with my puppy. My puppy had her shots and had already been dewormed. I love her she is the best. My vet liked her also.

I forgot to mention that I purchased her from the Jamestown Flea Market. She was raised locally by a family and they invited me to their home. They also gave me their phone number if I had any questons or health concerns. They gave me their vet's number and address. They were most helpful not a puppy mill. When I think puppy mills I think dirty, nasty, and unhealthy puppies, mine was clean and well cared for.

There are a few regulars who do sell at jamestown that buy dogs through the iwanna at sell them at higher prices regardless of the health of the puppy. Often times these vendors use "fake" registration papers as well. They are all on the front row and are being watched. Eventually justice will be served for the poor dogs and unsuspecting buyers.

we bought a puppy at a flea market in WS, and she is the most wonderful little long hair chihuahua ($200), and healthy. We adore her. On the other hand, I have adopted at a shelter ($95) and got a vicious dog that had been returned several times, a collie (still vicious after I took her to obedience classes and spent $350 on training), and bought a pet store dog that was demented and paid $500. You never know, but I would buy again from a flea market as long as I am sure that the seller did not steal the dogs. There are some very cute dogs at the Jamestown Flea Market. We had looked many places for a long haired black and white female chihuahua, and found the perfect one at a flea market by chance. She has her own myspace page. I don't think calling the flea market dogs "mill puppies" is fair.

Come to think of it, I got a puppy as a gift from someone who had gotten it at a flea market for free, and it has been a special and loved pet for 10 years now. I would not take any amount of money for her. She is intelligent and beautiful, and very gentle, shaking hands with everyone she meets. I do adopt from shelters, generally, but they have been, on the whole, the worst dogs I have ever owned. We looked at dogs from shelters for around a year before buying "Natalie" at a flea market.

The AsPCa and Mr. Chevy may believe what they wrote, while I don't.

My puppys bought at Jamestown Flea Market over the years from last week back to when Burts had the Puppy store have all been healthy with all required shots and those that were full breed had litter registration papers. Don't be fooled. Puppies are not registered "the litter they come from is registered" to start with. The new owner registers the new puppy after purchasing it.

Friends for animals. has a poor track record and the AsPca in the area has no credibility if what I've been told by reliable people is accurate.

They should mind their own business and go look for abused animals.

I for one knows that JFM is not considered as a puppy mill. JFM simply has sellers of puppies offer certain breeds to the public at a more resonable price than expensive malls or puppy shops. All dogs that are sold at six weeks are expected to have their first shots before you can sell them there. Also if their over 4 months of age they must be tagged and have had their rabies shots. One final note just recently all sellers of puppies have to be expected by the state or JFM will not allow anyone to sell their puppies there. JFM is just trying to make sure everyone gets a good, healthy pet to enjoy for years to come. When purchasing your pet ask for shot records, but look for the State License then you will know that breeder or seller has had a inspection of housing and boarding of the pet you may be buying! If not licensed by the state then consider another seller who is.

you should be more concerned with the amount of stolen goods that are sold there. The next time you pick up that bottle of cologne or $2.00 bottle of tylenol, thank your neighborhood shoplifter for making the price go up at your local "F**d L**n", A shoplifters paradise by the way. Next time you are at those booths, ask the people for receipts of purchase from a wholesaler for the goods they sell, I will bet you they cannot produce it.

We have purchased 2 puppies over the years at the flea market. Great dogs. I agree that you should look for a reputable breeder/seller with good healthly pups. They will produce shot records and their State License when asked. There are also vendors that do carry their receipts, if asked, for the products that they sell. Beware of non-licensed goods, copy cat items. Federal inspectors are making rounds at flea markets checking. If caught, fines are heavy.

their is mo such thing as copy-cat Tylenol, these people do not have a vendors license for these items. In the state of NC, you must be licensed to sell a product like these people do. It is a proven fact that these people acquire these goods by fraudulent means. I can't tell you how I know all this info, but their days are numbered.

Indead there are a lot of dog venders at the JFM. Ask for vet records, health warranty, and phone numbers. Check to see if they have a state inspection? If they are state lic. there is nothing to hide and you should recieve a healthy puppy. Inspectors do not care who you are just the health and well being of the puppy. Make sure the puppy is not to hot or to cold well taken care of and cage clean with plenty of fresh water.

the puppies at the flea market are very cold outside it makes me sick to think that the breeders think this is ok for their puppies. something should be done for heat and cover from the rain why is there some inside and why do they let the little puppies be outside. Be kind to the puppies dogs and dont get them sick and cole. I know i would not like this. THINK ABOUT IT ITS CRUL !!!
Wow I should be surprised

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
