Looking for "My conclusions". We have the begining of a good debate on the history of civil rights. It's your turn. Let's keep the debate going.
LOL, it’s only a good debate when there might be a chance to educate/convince someone they are wrong. From your posts it is clear that this will not happen. So it would be a waste of time to continue.

That is a loser's excuse. You cannot handle the challenge, therefore, you give some penny anny excuse. You are the idiot and the wus who does not want to debate. That is very clear.

Your right wing propaganda links are totally unimpressive and boring: also predictable. My contribution to moving forward is not electing anymore Republicans. That would be the best hope for America and the world. You have a different view. Keep it.

So you play the game of Ignore, Denial and Repeated Lie’s in hope’s that if you say it enough people will believe it. IF you were actually exposed to the challenges of the Civil Right’s Movement of the 60’s, your postings here indicate you learned and embraced the negative while never understanding the positive or how to be a positive influence. For me “White Guilt” is your Best User Name.
You can call me what you like. Since your fixation is on today, tell me what today's Republican party has done for civil rights?

I will answer any DIRECT questions that you have, but I do not respond to right wing links. So, ask the questions. I don't blame you for not answering the question in regard to positive civil rights issues that Republicans have endorsed. Why? Simply because there aren't any. However, negative proposals recently are:

1, Opposition to the right of homosexual marriage in the Amendment One referendum. NC Republican Legislators brought the referendum for a public vote, knowing that idiots in NC would vote for it. This denies gay people of equal protection under the law as expressed in the 14th Amendment to the Constitution in 1868. Republicans like to brag about bringing forth this Amendment during Reconstruction, but ironic how they fight against it's enforcement today for ALL citizens.

2. Opposition to women for equal pay with their male counterparts for the same job performed in the workplace.

3. Opposition to the raising of the minimum wage law to provide working families with a livable wage.

4. Opposition to the continuation of unemployment checks when it is ironic that a Republican President destroyed many of the jobs that placed them in this situation in the first place.

The Republican party does not support those of a different sexual orientation, education, women's rights, minorities or those in the lower structure on the economic ladder. If you can refute any of these claims IN YOUR OWN WORDS instead of your right wing links, then we can have a decent discussion on the effectiveness and policies of the two parties and their basic philosophies in today's world.

Since the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, blacks have voted consistently for Democratic candidates in a very high proportion, 85% or higher since that time. Is it surprising to you that when the first black candidate ran for President that this percentage would go higher?

Actually if you understand the above then you have answers to your post. You should understand your Post continue to be amazingly naïve and lacking understanding of the issues your addressing.
Just like your party, you have no answers. Just psychobabble links. You want to debate an issue? Begin the debate with your position on an issue. I will respond.

I have afforded you multiple opportunities to address my post and you decline. Why should anyone, on topix, address your comments/issues/post. It truly gets old that nearly every post, you pursue a Racial, Civil Rights, similar and/or historical theme and rather than improve those issues you represent a destructive theme. A quick check reveals a few opportunities to address the issues below and you have declined each. So it’s up to you, be a credible poster or…

Playing the game of Ignore, Denial and Repeated Lie’s in hope’s that if you say it enough people will believe it – is not a response.
You simply have only links that are meaningless. No defense on your own. Either go fade into the fabric, or put on your brain and fight for your beliefs. Simple as that. Do links do your thinking for you? Apparently so. No substance. A naive simpleton has challenged you to a real debate. Are you taking the challenge, or not?

Obviously from your comment, you understand the topics and issues of discussion. All you have to do is provide your comments on these topics and issues. LOL
When you take your stand and state the issues in your own words, then we can begin. For the last time, I don't respond to links. Only humans with a position.

I’ve highlighted multiple times that you fail to grasp issues posted. Now you require that topics and issues be rewritten to a lower level so you can understand and respond is hilarious. It would appear you have arrived at the point where you either do the research to understand the post of others or resign yourself to the fact you should refrain from further posting. You are welcome to address post, however, I’ll not waste my time to dumb down post to a level so you may understand. LOL
Anyone who can't explain themselves with their own thoughts from their own mind is just not worth my time. Dumbing down is not the issue. Dumb links with a singular point of view is. I can get all of this information on Fox News, Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, provided I want it. Go run and hide. You can't hang with me anyway in an original word for word debate. That is the reason you keep returning with your refusal. You are a link head of the highest order. Links do your thinking for you.

Ever been to a debate? One may refer to something, but one is not given a page of questionable and biased opinion and told, "Here, respond to this". No, They relate their points back and forth from their own knowledge of the subject, and they respond back and forth in their own words. So, put away your links...you can refer to them if you like, but don't tell me to read them and respond. "Put up or shut up?". Allow me to begin the debate.

"What, in your opinion since the beginning of the 21st Century, has been the most monumental Admiistrative or Congressional acts that have positively moved this nation forward? By contrast, what Administrative or Congressional Acts have been detrimental to the US as a nation?"

Want to debate?. Answer the beginning question. I will respond. You have the 2nd question after my response back...No links, just knowledge in your own words. That is a real debate.

Glad that conversation died. Regarding the topic though, NC as a state is racist as hell. Not everyone here is racist obviously but it's so much more prevalent here than any other place I've ever lived or visited. I was born and raised in Southern California where racism never seemed like an issue to me, then I moved to the Raleigh area when I was 13 and a lot of the white people I had met were so openly racist. I know California is pretty liberal but I've been all over the south and it wasn't nearly as bad as it was in NC (although maybe I've jus been here for too long and have heard too much).

I see where you're coming from, there are plenty of racist black people for sure but most people just don't care about skin color anymore. As a kid, I used to play baseball in South Central every weekend. Being in a bad area can be scary but it's not like you automatically get shot as soon as you step foot into a bad neighborhood. Most will think it's strange that you're in the neighborhood but won't think too much of it. Just mind your own business and people won't bother you.

You're so full of chit that it's not even funny. What were the Watts riots about? What was the uproar about Rodney King? California has race riots in their prison system almost daily!!! There are more Skinheads and AB in Cali. than anywhere else in the United States. Shall I go on? Come back when you get some real facts or STFU dude cause you're blowing smoke out your azz!!!
