Does anyone know the best areas to view Christmas light displays?

Make a trip to Bristol Va. to Bristol Motor Speedway. There is a small charge for each car load to enter but it is well worth the charge for admission. You circle the track itself then make a pass down the Dragway, slowly of course, then at the end there are pull offs where you can visit gift shops and stand by a bonfire and get coffee or hot chocolate. There are many different displays and millions of lights to see. You can drive up Hwy.181 and be there from Valdese in just a little over an hour. All the proceeds from this goes to a charity, but I can't remember which one.

That's great, thank you. What about local light displays? Are there any certain neighborhoods to visit, anything in or near Burke County?

Two places near here that are both great. However expect long lines and long waits. Tanglewood in our opinion was the best!!

Gosh, is there any place in Burke County, maybe a couple of streets with lights? A Christmas store?

Yoiu may go to J.Iverson Riddle Center just off off I-40 at Bethel road. They have a great display of lights. They start around Thanksgiving and will go until January 1st.

Your very welcome. Do a search on youtube for Tanglewood festival of lights and you will find many more. We went to Tanglewood last year they even have a place to roast marshamallows. Make sure you go to the bathroom right before you get there! We got there at 6:45 pm and it took 2hours just to get to the beginning of the lights. The actual tour of lights only takes about 15 minutes. The long wait is for buying the ticket.
