BCBE just received their bill from their Charlotte based law firm.This bill was for $113000 in total and of that $62000 was for their help in removing Bavid Burleson.The balance of that ($51000) has been used in trying to find a replacement for Mr.Burleson.It is a good thing that Norman was awarded more money from our Commisioners,the only problem is that it was not enough to even cover this bill and was supposedly needed to help with our schools operation.This is just another reason that All of these people on the school board should be replaced come election time.Norman can not even use a law firm that is based in Burke County to keep our money here and then they try to tell us to support their Buy in Burke program.November cant get here soon enough.

Contents of Dr.Stellers contract were released just this week and it reveals that Stellers starting pay is more than what David Burleson was making for all of his years of service. Also revealed was the fact that if any decisions were to be made or changes in the operation our school system were made that they had to be presented to the board chair for approval. Any hiring or dismissals had to be blessed by Norman also so what is the purpose of even having a Superintendent of Schools? I guess finding someone that is willing to be a yes man is more valuable to Burke County than having someone in office that was willing and capable of doing what was right for the students of our county.

Results of the BCBE elections are in and the outcome is as expected. Tracy loses by a 13 to 1 margin. What is really disturbing though is that 900 people actually voted for her. I guess that they didn't have any children that attended Burke county Schools. Hopefully, this will send a strong message to the incoming board that they are going to be held accountable for their actions during their term.

Too bad there are still no jobs here and all of our kids can't wait to get the hell out of this dead-end town.

Soo miss tracy, I guess now that the numbers are in, you can see just how much the people of burke co. really likes you. The guy who dropped out got more votes than you did. lol.. Yea,,, tracy, we residents of burke co really do love you, the numbers prove it.
