This "low-life" is my son and I am his mother who loves him very much. I am very sad that he is turning 17 today in jail because the juvenile system failed to see that he needs psychiatric help long ago. He was so close to being helped at New Hope in SC but medicaid says because he behaves while locked up then he doesn't need to be there.

Yes, Nick has lots of issues that he needs help for but he will never get that help locked up in prison. He is not mentally or physically capable of changing his actions without serious counseling and meds which is what we hope gets done this time.

You should pray for him instead of beat him down because you don't know what a kid is dealing with until you walk a mile in their shoes or at 15 months old become forced to begin growing up in a motherless home.

People can change, its mostly the people who can't or don't want to change.Or better yet NEVER caught for the things they have done themselves.Seem to always want to put, beat or just plain slander someone else down.We are and will always be judged by many during our lives. But when all is said and done the only Judge that will realy matter is our creator himself.

With GOD all and any thing is possible.

Lot of people are tired of having what they work hard for to be taken away by someone else.Seems like Cameras are the norm nowdays.

I do have a question for you. No dought the Neighbor you have jumped on this Form to rally and rant for must not have hade that STATE FARM feeling for you.Or why put up cameras?

IMO if the area one lives in doe's not have that STATE FARM feeling then cameras are the way to go.

I have many LEO who live in my area and still myself have over a dozen outdoor night vision cameras at my home and Business linked to my PC and cell.

I am his mother. we left his father, yes he was with me, but his father hired a lawyer for which I couldn't afford and took custody away from me. I blame our justice system for this one.

You can't take a child away from his mother, especially one who breastfed for 13.5 mths and was never apart from me, and give custody to a man who has never been around children and who drinks all the time. This is what happens when money talks rather than common sense.

So yes to both, I am his mother and he did grow up in a motherless home, but that choice was taken from me.

I make no excuses for my son. Never have, that's what his dad did which is why he continues to get in more and more trouble. Nor have I ever let him walk out of a store with anything he didn't buy, whether it was on the floor broken or not, that's what his dad did. So in doing so he has inadvertently taught him that its ok to take stuff that he did not earn or pay for.

I have fought this seemingly insignificant fact for years with his father and those he has taken stuff from when he was younger but it never seemed to bother anyone but me that it was happening.

He has been let off the hook by his father, way too many school officials, and once even stole some stuff while doing community service at a church and the pastor never filed charges, he just wanted his stuff back. So believe me when I say this, it IS the systems failure for not punishing him for wrong doing to begin with. Had he received consequences for his actions it would have never reached this point.

So go ahead, tell parents they shouldn't discipline or spank their kids and time out is their only option and watch society continue to go downhill. No discipline, no changes. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord...and my other 4 children will receive spankings when they do wrong.

I don't believe the excuse he did it cause he was motherless. Because me and 2 brothers and one sister grew up motherless. Our mom died when i was 5 and my brother just turned 3 and other two sibling were 9 and 8. And quess what we turned out ok. My sister is a big wig at broyhill's or furniture brands. Kids turn out the way they do by choice, so quit making excuses for them. Yes i would have loved to known my mother. But my dad did ok with us condersing he was a truck driver who drove all over the state. So in other words it should be your fault uh mom. lol.

Good for you lady. All you can do is keep trying.I have had to watch too many times while people I loved threw their lives away. However,I must say that I saw that statement you made about"serving the LORD"on a plaque on a friends wall once.

Got to say - Mom is making A LOT of excuses for herself, and doesn't seem all that concerned about Nick.

No baby is born a criminal. The system didn't fail him, Mom, you did.

Nick is the product of a life assigned to be an unwilling pawn, the captive audience used by both his parents who forced him to watch while they launched slander and blame at one another.

Shame on you, mom. You sit there blaming Nick's dad, but what about you? Family courts RARELY award custody to the father, lawyer or not. Losing custody is serious and nearly impossible unless the Mother is doing drugs or neglecting or endangering the child to the degree that the child will not thrive if left in the care of the mother.

You are being very dishonest about why Nick was removed from your care. If you truly believe in GOD, you'd better be very worried about what type of punishment you're going to face if you don't come clean. Look to your own sins before you slander anyone again.
