When an economy is tired, a little caffeine to stimulate is helpful, but when the economy is dead, no amount of caffeine will help.

Just as Romney did not understand the "new" demographics (Obama certainly did), Obama does not understand economics.

Let's face it...we are in for difficult, if not cruel, times. Entitlement spending must be curtailed. Taxes will need to go up, too. Loopholes must be closed. It is time for our government to practice a little austerity. If you don't know how to farm for food and fix things when they break, you better start learning.
I do not disagree, Obama does not understand economics. Entitlements need to be curtailed methodically and when possible convert funds to public service jobs(welfare to work program), pork barrel spending needs to cease, dept budgets need be reduced, tax will have to increase to reduce debt, but needs to be evenly distributed. Sadly, none of this will happen. Wall St, big business and 1%er's will continue to flourish while the rest struggle. And yes I do agree we need to learn to be self sufficient as those days maybe in our near future. If you notice I have post under doomsday preppers thread as well.

There's not enough blood in the turnip to continue. It must happen or there will eventually be a spreading revolt. It would be gradual, but make no mistake, it will happen if things do not change.

I doubt we will see a true revolt but more likely to see a financial, terror attack or natural disaster which we are unable to recover from quickly thus leading to a quicker decline of this nation. Currently we are we financially and emotionally as a nation. It is hard to claim title of world leader when we can not manage our on affairs. One additional problem we face unlike before is the fact of a global economy that must improve as well to boost our own economy
