Jones is a jerk and a smart azz. I've spoken to him. His law enforcement background is pumped up.
Jones can write a good resume but he wouldn't be a good Sheriff.

At least Mr. Jones record does not include DUI arrest, being fired from the sheriff's office for being drunk, wrecking patrol cars on duty, domestic violence, turning the other way while female inmates in his jail are being assaulted by officers and then trying to cover it up. How about photos of his officers putting up scott's signs on duty in patrol cars? It just goes on and on.Facts are, none of the republicans are going to vote for scott and 1/3 of democrates or voting for tom. AT least mr jones can write a resume.

Homegrown, AKA Scott. It’s funny that anytime someone has something negative to say about Scott you accuse that person of being Mr. Jones. Believe it or not, a whole bunch of people like me don’t like Scott. As for your statement, you must have a good reputation before someone can damage it. Scott does not. Also professor, politicians are not protected from reputation attacks. By the way, I read in the paper that Scott was having a ‘Meet the Deputies’ this Saturday at the same time he was having a fundraiser for his campaign, maybe you should tell him that it is illegal to have Deputies there on duty or in county cars during his fundraiser. Who knows, people may be there pretending to like Scott checking-up on this. Maybe they will pose for photos. Also, maybe the process server looking for him may stop-by. It should be a lot of fun. Also, there are copies of his arrest records floating around now. He has been a disgrace as a Sheriff and many citizens and employees are going to do their best to bring it all out now. No amount of Topix PR is going to stop it. Sooner or later, the citizens are going to have a chance to ask him questions and his buddy Norm will not be able to save him. Lamar is already distancing himself from the Sheriff. Information is leaking out of the sheriff’s office like a sinking wooden boat.
